đź“‹ Description

  • • Material Security Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Threat Researcher: Intelligence Reporting to join our innovative, remote-first team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of defining and championing cloud workspace security, a domain critical to modern organizational success. The cloud workspace, encompassing everything from initial employee onboarding to final offboarding, serves as the central hub for an immense volume of sensitive intelligence, proprietary data, and intellectual property. Despite its criticality, the tools designed to protect this vital infrastructure often remain siloed and insufficient, leaving companies vulnerable to a wide array of sophisticated threats.
  • • At Material Security, we are deeply committed to fortifying the entire cloud workspace ecosystem, including email, file storage, applications, and identity management. As a Staff Threat Researcher, your primary mission will be to conduct in-depth research into the multifaceted aspects of workspace security. This involves identifying emerging vulnerabilities, analyzing the latest attack vectors, and understanding the profound impact these threats can have on a company's operational integrity and strategic objectives.
  • • Your research will form the bedrock for informing the global community about the paramount importance of securing cloud workspaces. Simultaneously, you will serve as an internal intelligence conduit, alerting Material Security to nascent threats that will drive our product development and enhance our security solutions. This role is instrumental in shaping both our external narrative and our internal product roadmap, ensuring Material Security remains a leader in workspace security innovation.
  • • Key responsibilities include conducting extensive primary and secondary research, leveraging both proprietary data from Material Security and external intelligence sources. You will perform rigorous data analysis to substantiate your findings, ensuring the utmost accuracy and reliability of your research outputs.
  • • A crucial aspect of this role involves close collaboration with our Product and Engineering teams. You will be responsible for communicating any newly discovered threats or vulnerabilities, working hand-in-hand with these teams to ensure that our product development decisions proactively address these risks and strengthen our security posture.
  • • You will also partner directly with our Marketing department to ensure that your research and insights are effectively disseminated to the wider world. This includes developing compelling content and preparing responses to inquiries from potential customers and media representatives, positioning Material Security as a thought leader in the field.
  • • The role entails assisting in the production of a diverse range of digital content. This may include authoring public-facing web articles and blog posts, developing in-depth white papers, scripting engaging video content, contributing to podcasts, and crafting impactful social media updates. All content will focus on cloud office security, highlighting critical vulnerabilities, emerging threats, and the significant risks organizations face when their workspaces are inadequately protected.
  • • Furthermore, you will be involved in the creation, editing, and copy-editing of all digital content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and a consistent brand voice across all platforms. This comprehensive approach to research, analysis, and communication will empower organizations to better understand and mitigate the risks associated with cloud workspace security.
