📋 Description
- • Staff Vehicle Modeling Engineer at Ridealso Inc. (ALSO) responsible for developing system-level and high-fidelity models for small electric vehicles to support performance, efficiency, and thermal management from concept through production.
- • Day-to-day tasks include building and maintaining multi-domain models of electric drivetrains, motors, inverters, battery packs, gearboxes, braking systems, and thermal management systems using tools like Simulink, MATLAB, and Python; performing system-level simulations across drive cycles and operating conditions; translating models into vehicle requirements and performance targets; correlating simulation data with real-world test data from prototypes and field-deployed vehicles; and collaborating with hardware, software, controls, reliability, and manufacturing teams to optimize vehicle performance and ensure system robustness.
- • ALSO is an electric mobility company originally spun out of Rivian, focused on creating innovative, vertically integrated small EVs that are 10-50x more efficient than traditional vehicles, with a mission to replace car trips with enjoyable, affordable electric rides; the team comprises builders and innovators from technology, automotive, cycling, and outdoor recreation backgrounds, headquartered in Silicon Valley with a UK-based role.
