đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end strategic relationship for a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise employer clients, serving as their single point of accountability for clinical, financial, and operational pharmacy benefit outcomes.
- • Translate complex pharmacy data into board-level narratives that drive decisive action, presenting quarterly business reviews that highlight cost savings, clinical program ROI, and member experience improvements.
- • Design and implement customized clinical programs—such as formulary optimization, specialty drug management, and adherence initiatives—that reduce trend by 8-12% year-over-year while improving patient outcomes.
- • Partner with internal actuarial, underwriting, and data science teams to forecast drug spend, model plan design changes, and quantify the financial impact of emerging therapies and pipeline drugs.
- • Lead multi-disciplinary implementation projects for new clients, coordinating pharmacy network contracting, prior-authorization workflows, member communications, and P&T committee alignment within 90-day go-live windows.
- • Serve as a clinical educator to HR and benefits teams, delivering CPE-accredited webinars and onsite workshops that demystify PBM economics, rebate mechanics, and the total cost of care.
- • Monitor real-time utilization dashboards to identify aberrant prescribing patterns, opioid overutilization, or specialty drug off-label use, then intervene with prescriber outreach and member engagement campaigns.
- • Advocate for clients during manufacturer rebate negotiations and specialty pharmacy contract renewals, leveraging evidence-based outcomes data to secure pricing concessions and performance guarantees.
- • Champion member-centric digital experiences by translating clinical policies into intuitive mobile app content, chatbot scripts, and proactive refill reminders that boost adherence rates by 15%.
- • Influence AffirmedRx’s product roadmap by synthesizing client feedback into feature requests for price-transparency tools, biosimilar switching programs, and social determinants of health integrations.
- • Ensure 100% compliance with ERISA, CMS, and state PBM regulations by conducting annual audits of plan documents, formulary exceptions, and appeals & grievances processes.
- • Mentor junior clinical consultants and rotating pharmacy residents, fostering a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based decision making across the organization.
- • Represent AffirmedRx at industry conferences (PCMA, PBMI, NBGH) by presenting case studies on value-based PBM models and publishing peer-reviewed research on specialty drug trend mitigation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active, unrestricted PharmD license in at least one U.S. state
- • 5+ years of progressive experience in PBM, health plan, or pharmaceutical industry roles with direct client-facing responsibilities
- • Advanced proficiency in analyzing pharmacy claims data (SQL, Tableau, or equivalent BI tools)

- • Equity participation in a high-growth company that has tripled revenue for three consecutive years
