Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Strategy & Analytics Manager role focused on building analytical and operational infrastructure for Hopper’s Travel Commercial organisation, which manages hotel, home, and car inventory for global partners.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing data models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks; using AI tools to accelerate insight generation; running deep-dive analytical projects; defining and tracking KPIs; preparing for strategic meetings; building frameworks for quarterly planning and forecasting; improving commercial workflows; implementing operational improvements end-to-end; identifying AI opportunities to transform processes; developing fluency in the commercial tech stack; translating commercial problems into actionable briefs for Product and Engineering teams.
- • The role sits at the intersection of data, process, and technology, working closely with Product and Engineering while reporting to senior commercial leadership in a 100% remote position based in Canada.
- • The person will learn to bridge strategic thinking with hands-on execution, gain deep exposure to travel fintech and B2B commerce platforms, develop AI-integrated analytical workflows, and drive measurable impact in a fast-moving, high-growth environment backed by over $750M in funding.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, sales operations, strategy & operations, or a similar analytical or commercial role
- • Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with BI and data tools such as Looker, Tableau, or BigQuery
- • Track record of building data models, dashboards, process frameworks, and operational tools — not just recommending them
- • Strong commercial instincts paired with rigorous analytical capability, comfortable moving between strategic conversations and hands-on builds
- • Genuine excitement about AI and an existing habit of using it to accelerate and improve work, with eagerness to apply it in a commercial context
- • Experience working cross-functionally with Product and/or Engineering teams, with sufficient technical fluency to collaborate effectively
- • First-principles thinking — questioning assumptions, stress-testing processes, and consistently asking why things work the way they do
- • Bias for action, strong sense of ownership, and ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
🏖️ Benefits
- • Well-funded startup with competitive salary and pre-IPO equity upside
- • 100% coverage of group insurance plan premiums by Hopper
- • Life, short-term, and long-term disability coverage
- • Health Spending Account (HSA) for eligible medical and dental expenses
- • Access to Dialogue’s telemedicine services for employees and dependents
- • RRSP plan with automatic pre-tax withdrawals per pay
- • Generous parental leave above industry standards
- • Unlimited PTO
- • Carrot Cash travel stipend
- • Access to co-working spaces via FlexDesk and work-from-home stipend
- • Entrepreneurial culture with open communication and small, high-impact teams
