Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Strategy & Analytics Manager at Hopper Inc. owns the analytical and operational infrastructure powering the Travel Commercial organisation, which manages hotel, home, and car inventory distributed to global partners.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks; using AI tools to accelerate insight generation; running deep-dive analytical projects to surface opportunities; defining and tracking KPIs; owning preparation and follow-through for strategic meetings; building frameworks for quarterly planning and forecasting; mapping and rebuilding commercial workflows for scalability; implementing operational improvements with rigor; identifying AI opportunities to transform commercial processes; developing fluency in the commercial tech stack; translating commercial problems into technical briefs for Product and Engineering teams.
- • The role sits at the intersection of data, process, and technology, working closely with Product and Engineering teams and reporting into senior commercial leadership within a fast-moving, ambitious travel technology company.
- • The person will learn to bridge strategic thinking with hands-on execution, gain deep exposure to travel fintech and B2B commerce platforms, develop AI-augmented analytical workflows, and drive measurable impact on commercial processes used by global partners like Capital One and Air Canada.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, sales operations, strategy & operations, or a similar analytical or commercial role
- • Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with BI and data tools such as Looker, Tableau, or BigQuery
- • Track record of building data models, dashboards, process frameworks, and operational tools — not just recommending them
- • Strong commercial instincts paired with rigorous analytical capability, comfortable moving between strategic conversations and hands-on builds
- • Genuine excitement about AI and an existing habit of using it to accelerate and improve work, with eagerness to apply it in a commercial context
- • Experience working cross-functionally with Product and/or Engineering teams, with sufficient technical fluency to collaborate effectively
- • First-principles thinking — questioning assumptions, stress-testing processes, and always asking why something works the way it does
- • Bias for action, strong sense of ownership, and ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
🏖️ Benefits
- • Well-funded pre-IPO startup with competitive salary and equity upside
- • Unlimited PTO
- • Carrot Cash travel stipend
- • Access to co-working space on demand via FlexDesk and work-from-home stipend
- • Very generous parental leave, above industry standards
- • 100% employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
- • Access to Disability & Life insurance, Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), DCA/FSA, and 401k plan
- • Entrepreneurial culture with open communication and small, dynamic teams enabling massive impact
