📋 Description
- • Aspora, Inc. is revolutionizing global banking with a borderless financial operating system designed for people on the move. Since 2022, we've been building a platform that prioritizes mobility and transparency in financial transactions. Our rapid growth is supported by prominent venture capitalists including Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Hummingbird Ventures, and Y Combinator, reflecting strong investor confidence in our vision.
- • We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding team of over 75 professionals spread across India, the UK, the UAE, the EU, and the US. Our culture is built on principles of extreme ownership, radical candor, and an unwavering obsession with customer impact. We foster an environment where builders are encouraged to question assumptions, iterate quickly, and transform complex regulatory landscapes into elegant, user-friendly solutions.
- • If you are driven by the prospect of redefining global banking and are eager to contribute to a company that values innovation and customer-centricity, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of finance.
- • The Strategy and Central Analytics Lead will serve as the pivotal right-hand to the Head of Analytics and act as a versatile "Swiss Army knife" for Aspora's analytics function. This role is designed for an individual who thrives on tackling the highest-priority, cross-cutting initiatives that transcend individual product team domains. These critical responsibilities include developing executive reporting, crafting compelling board presentations, conducting in-depth strategic analyses, and spearheading the development of organization-wide analytics capabilities.
- • On any given week, your contributions could range from building a sophisticated, board-ready metrics presentation for investors like Sequoia, to executing a comprehensive market sizing analysis for potential new geographic expansions. You might also be tasked with designing the foundational user segmentation model that will be adopted across the entire company, or meticulously measuring the return on investment (ROI) for growth experiments conceptualized by the Growth Analytics Manager.
- • This unique position demands a professional who can seamlessly operate at the confluence of strategy, advanced analytics, and growth initiatives. You should be as adept at constructing intricate financial models as you are at building detailed retention curves. Furthermore, you must possess the ability to articulate complex findings with equal confidence and clarity, whether presenting to a board of directors or participating in a product team's daily stand-up meeting.
- • We are actively seeking an individual who demonstrates a strong aptitude for thinking in established frameworks, communicating insights through compelling narratives, and executing analyses proficiently using SQL.
- • Key Responsibilities:
- • Own and execute executive and board-level reporting, including the development and delivery of monthly analytics-driven business reviews for the leadership team.
- • Create sophisticated, board-ready reporting templates that incorporate investor-grade metrics, meeting the high standards expected by a venture-backed company like Aspora.
- • Act as the primary translator of raw data into clear, impactful narratives that shape leadership and investor understanding of Aspora's strategic trajectory and performance.
- • Lead and conduct critical strategic analytics initiatives that fall outside the scope of individual product teams, such as market sizing for new geographies (e.g., Canada, Australia, Singapore), in-depth competitive landscape analysis, sophisticated pricing strategy modeling across various remittance corridors, quantification of new product opportunities, and strategic scenario planning.
- • Develop and own the foundational user segmentation model that will serve as the organization's standard for user classification. This involves moving beyond basic metrics like "active" or "inactive" to build segments that accurately reflect nuanced behavioral differences and are actionable, including identifying high-value multi-product users, loyal single-corridor users, price-sensitive customers, and dormant users targeted for re-engagement.
- • Champion and enhance the company's experimentation culture by owning the analytics layer of the experimentation platform, ensuring all cross-team experiments are designed with robust statistical rigor.
- • Provide expert coaching to fellow analysts on best practices in experimentation, meticulously review experiment designs, and actively contribute to building the organization's overall experimentation proficiency.
- • Partner closely with the Growth Analytics Manager to address high-stakes strategic questions, such as optimizing the allocation of growth budgets, prioritizing corridors for market expansion, analyzing LTV-to-CAC ratios by geography, and deriving actionable insights for growth strategy.
- • Drive the "Analytics Academy" initiative, responsible for building and running a comprehensive training program designed to empower the broader organization in utilizing self-serve analytics tools and fostering a data-driven mindset.
- • Serve as the go-to expert for the CEO's most challenging data-related inquiries, building models and presenting data-backed answers to complex "what-if" scenarios and strategic market entry questions.
- • Ensure expert proficiency in SQL, demonstrating advanced, multi-domain fluency across transaction, user behavioral, marketing, and financial data, capable of constructing complex analytical queries.
- • Exhibit exceptional executive-grade data storytelling skills, transforming ambiguous data into clear, compelling, board-ready presentations that drive decision-making, with a strong understanding of investor-grade metrics.
- • Demonstrate broad analytical versatility, comfortably performing funnel analysis, cohort analysis, financial modeling, market sizing, competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and applying strategic frameworks, while maintaining high quality across diverse contexts.
- • Apply strategic thinking and business acumen, utilizing frameworks like TAM/SAM/SOM, Porter's Five Forces, unit economics, and growth accounting to connect data findings with strategic implications, understanding the core business drivers of a global remittance platform.
- • Possess expertise in experimentation design and coaching, capable of designing statistically rigorous experiments and training others, with experience in establishing organizational-level experimentation processes.
- • Showcase proven experience in segmentation and behavioral analytics, including building sophisticated user segmentation models (e.g., behavioral clustering, value-based segmentation, lifecycle stages) that inform strategic decisions.
- • Manage stakeholders effectively at the executive level, confidently presenting to C-suite and board members, handling challenging questions, and providing constructive pushback when necessary.
- • Leverage expertise in at least one major BI tool to build essential dashboards for daily leadership consumption.
- • Utilize AI fluency to accelerate all aspects of work, from analysis and presentation drafting to research summarization and task automation, and champion AI adoption across the organization.
- • Bring 5-8 years of relevant experience in analytics, strategy, or a combination thereof, with a strong preference for candidates with product analytics experience in high-growth tech or fintech environments.
