As a rapidly growing startup, backed by prominent investors like a16z and Y Combinator, we are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Product Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Francisco.
- • This pivotal role serves as the operational backbone of our product organization, working in close collaboration with the CTO and Head of Product. We are looking for an individual contributor who thrives on discipline, structure, and efficient execution. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between Product Engineering, Deployments, Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, and overall Operations, ensuring seamless synchronization and maximizing our collective velocity.
- • As a generalist execution machine, your primary objective will be to tackle the most significant challenges hindering our progress. This could involve anything from refining intricate data pipelines and structuring complex pricing models to managing the logistics of intricate deployment processes. Your adaptability and problem-solving prowess will be key to our success.
- • A core responsibility will be acting as the primary liaison between the Product Engineering team and the Deployment team. You will ensure that the Deployment team is thoroughly equipped with the knowledge and resources for new features, meticulously oversee the technical feedback loop from the field back to engineering, and guarantee the successful market introduction of all new releases. This involves translating technical specifications into actionable deployment plans and ensuring that field-based feedback is systematically incorporated into future development cycles.
- • You will also play a crucial role in GTM and Commercial Enablement. This involves partnering closely with the GTM team to drive technical enablement initiatives, supporting Product-Led Sales (PLS) motions, and refining feature pricing structures. Your expertise will ensure that the commercial side of the business possesses a clear understanding of the technical realities and the inherent value proposition of the products we are delivering.
- • Furthermore, you will be responsible for Metrics & Measurement, working alongside Engineering and Strategy & Ops to define, track, and analyze key product and company metrics. This hands-on role requires you to delve into raw data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize for the most critical business outcomes. Your analytical skills will be vital in shaping our strategic direction.
- • A unique and critical aspect of this role involves managing Data Labeling Operations. You will oversee the human element of our agentic AI stack, which spans voice, reasoning, and coding agents. This includes the coordination of both in-house labelers and external agencies to ensure the consistent production of high-quality training data, which is fundamental to the continuous improvement of our AI models.
- • The ideal candidate is a "Technical Operator" with a rare blend of technical literacy – understanding APIs, data structures, and engineering constraints – coupled with exceptional operational rigor. You are not just someone who identifies inefficiencies; you are the one who implements robust solutions.
- • You will also excel as a "Cross-Functional Translator," capable of communicating effectively with engineers, salespeople, and operations managers. You are comfortable being the central point of contact who aligns diverse teams towards a unified objective, fostering collaboration and shared understanding.
