📋 Description
- • Lead supplier qualification processes, including audits and performance improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured quality methodologies such as 8D, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and SPC.
- • Analyze supplier quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement across the supply base.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement to ensure quality and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- • Support supplier development initiatives, process transfers, and new product introductions by validating supplier readiness and capability.
- • Build and maintain trusted relationships with global suppliers to influence sustainable quality improvements and long-term partnership growth.
- • Ensure all supplier activities align with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- • Participate in supplier performance reviews and develop action plans to address quality deviations and delivery issues.
- • Utilize data-driven insights to recommend process enhancements that reduce defects, improve yield, and increase supplier efficiency.
- • Act as the primary quality liaison between Collins Aerospace and external suppliers, facilitating clear communication and alignment on quality expectations.
- • Contribute to the development and implementation of supplier quality metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on performance.
- • Support global supply chain initiatives by ensuring suppliers meet technical, operational, and compliance requirements.
- • Travel internationally up to 50% to conduct on-site supplier audits, assessments, and collaborative improvement sessions.
- • Maintain documentation of supplier quality activities, audit findings, and corrective action plans in compliance with internal and external standards.
- • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring suppliers on best practices in quality management and manufacturing excellence.
- • Ensure all quality initiatives are aligned with company-wide objectives for reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction in aerospace products.
