- • The Supply Chain Engineer V (Principal Engineer) at Ryder System, Inc. is a senior technical role responsible for designing and optimizing supply chain solutions using continuous improvement methodologies, directly supporting sales, operations, and customer value creation.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, applying Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control tools, designing distribution and transportation operations, conducting inventory and supply chain analyses, creating proposals and presentations for new business, mentoring junior engineers, identifying process gaps, implementing improvements, establishing performance metrics, and managing multiple small to medium-sized projects.

- • In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in supply chain optimization, Six Sigma methodologies, cross-functional leadership, and business development support, while gaining influence over long-term organizational goals and mentoring the next generation of engineering talent.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- • Six (6) or more years of relevant work experience in supply chain engineering or related field
- • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
- • APICS certification (preferred)
- • Master’s degree in industrial engineering or MBA (preferred)
- • Excellent interpretation of complex statistical data and ability to influence organizational objectives
