  • • As a Supply Chain Specialist at IONITY GmbH, you will support the expansion of Europe’s leading high-power electric vehicle charging network by managing end-to-end supply chain operations for charging equipment and critical components.
  • • You will oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely acquisition of hardware such as chargers, cables, power supplies, and ancillary infrastructure from global and regional suppliers while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
  • • You will coordinate logistics across multiple European countries, optimizing transportation routes, managing customs clearance, and ensuring compliance with regional import/export regulations to guarantee on-time delivery to charging station sites.
  • • You will analyze supply chain data to identify performance trends, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities, generating actionable reports for internal stakeholders including logistics, operations, and finance teams.
  • • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement timelines with station rollout schedules, ensuring minimal delays in infrastructure deployment across the European network.
  • • You will develop and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, lower inventory carrying costs, and increase overall operational reliability.
  • • You will monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct vendor evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms on pricing, delivery, and service level agreements.

  • • You will proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical disruptions, component shortages, and logistical delays, implementing contingency plans to safeguard network expansion goals.
  • • You will participate in cross-border coordination efforts to standardize procurement and logistics practices across IONITY’s operational regions, ensuring consistency and scalability in supply chain execution.
  • • You will contribute to sustainability initiatives by evaluating environmentally responsible sourcing options and reducing carbon footprint in transportation and warehousing operations.
  • • You will support the company’s mission to make electric vehicle charging accessible and reliable by ensuring that every station is equipped with the necessary hardware on schedule and within budget.
  • • You will leverage data analysis tools to track KPIs such as order fulfillment rates, supplier on-time delivery performance, and inventory turnover, using insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • • You will stay updated on industry trends in electric vehicle infrastructure, emerging technologies in charging hardware, and evolving regulatory requirements affecting supply chain operations in Europe.
  • • You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors regarding supply chain issues, resolving discrepancies and facilitating timely communication between all parties.
  • • You will continuously seek opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline procurement workflows, and enhance visibility across the supply chain to support IONITY’s rapid growth.
  • • You will contribute to the development of standardized operating procedures for supply chain functions, ensuring knowledge transfer and scalability as the network expands into new markets.
  • • You will work in a remote capacity from any European country, collaborating with a distributed team through digital communication tools and project management platforms.
  • • You will be expected to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where reliability and responsiveness directly impact customer experience.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics within a manufacturing, energy, or hardware infrastructure environment
  • • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar)
  • • Experience coordinating international logistics and understanding of European import/export regulations
  • • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
  • • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements that reduce costs and increase efficiency
  • • Ability to work autonomously in a remote, distributed team environment
