📋 Description
- • Manage and grow the intraocular lens (IOL) portfolio within assigned hospitals across the Midlands UK region, ensuring optimal product adoption and market share.
- • Provide high-level technical consultancy to surgeons, theatre staff, and hospital procurement teams on the full Alcon IOL product range, including competitive positioning of Clareon versus modified and advanced monofocals.
- • Develop new business opportunities by identifying and engaging untapped hospital accounts to achieve aggressive sales targets.
- • Maintain and optimize relationships with key existing customers, ensuring long-term loyalty and consistent product utilization.
- • Collaborate with Account Managers, Tender and Pricing teams to design customized customer solutions, bundles, and EFA (Equipment Financing Arrangement) offerings.
- • Leverage MyAlcon360 platform where available to support customer engagement, inventory tracking, and consignment management.
- • Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations that clearly articulate clinical benefits, technical differentiators, and value propositions to diverse medical stakeholders.
- • Monitor and report competitor activities in the field, providing actionable intelligence to line management to inform strategic adjustments.
- • Uphold and enhance Alcon’s professional image through consistent, ethical, and expert interactions across all customer touchpoints.
- • Work independently with a high degree of autonomy to manage personal schedule, territory planning, and daily priorities while consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- • Apply strong analytical and logical reasoning to make data-driven business decisions grounded in fairness, consistency, and market insights.

🎯 Requirements
- • Deep knowledge of the full Alcon IOL portfolio and ability to competitively position Clareon against modified and advanced monofocal IOLs
- • Proven experience in surgical field sales within the ophthalmic or medical device industry
- • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills, with ability to tailor messaging to surgeons, nurses, and hospital administrators
- • Strong customer relationship management skills and a proven track record of building relationships from scratch in hospital settings
- • High resilience, self-motivation, and goal-oriented mindset with ability to work independently under pressure
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret market data and make sound business decisions
