  • • Design, document, and implement operational systems and processes for GovWorx’s mission-critical SaaS platforms including CommsCoach, BluAssist, and MedAssist, ensuring alignment with company architecture and industry best practices.
  • • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK to provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and GovCloud environments.
  • • Automate software delivery pipelines to build, test, and deploy artifacts reliably and securely, reducing manual intervention and improving release velocity.
  • • Create and manage monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to ensure high availability and rapid resolution of issues affecting public safety agencies.
  • • Collaborate with support and customer success teams to triage production issues, provide technical insights, and ensure seamless customer experiences for 911 centers, law enforcement, and fire/EMS departments.
  • • Produce detailed operational diagrams, runbooks, and documentation to standardize processes and enable knowledge sharing across the operations team and broader organization.
  • • Provide consistent performance updates and operational metrics to senior management and the Executive Leadership Team to inform strategic decision-making.
  • • Ensure all systems and processes comply with regulatory and security requirements, including FBI fingerprint and multi-state background checks.
  • • Optimize system reliability and performance by applying containerization practices, with Kubernetes experience being a valuable asset.
  • • Manage and maintain relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, and leverage alternative datastores like OpenSearch and Redshift to support data-driven platform features.
  • • Apply deep understanding of web development frameworks and architectures to evaluate system dependencies, scalability challenges, and integration points across SaaS applications.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce technical debt, and enhance system resilience in a remote, cross-functional environment.
  • • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong communication habits and accountability in a distributed team structure.
  • • Stay current with evolving cloud technologies, security standards, and operational methodologies to ensure GovWorx’s infrastructure exceeds industry benchmarks for SaaS systems serving public safety.

🎯 Requirements

  • • U.S. Citizenship required
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in DevOps/Cloud Operations within SaaS or technology-driven organizations
  • • Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or similar tools
  • • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and alternative datastores (OpenSearch, Redshift)
  • • Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), with experience in GovCloud preferred
