- • Serve as a Systems Administrator on the Platform Readiness team, providing L3 support for business-critical production deployments in a global, multi-continent environment.
- • Deploy, maintain, and monitor large-scale, complex cluster environments using OpenStack and/or OpenShift as core technologies.
- • Respond to real-time system issues across rotating shifts, ensuring high availability and performance of mission-critical infrastructure.
- • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline deployment pipelines, test scenarios, and system monitoring using Ansible and/or Python.
- • Collaborate remotely with a multicultural team distributed across multiple countries and time zones to resolve technical challenges and improve operational efficiency.
- • Analyze existing procedures and propose improvements to reduce manual intervention and increase system reliability through automation.
- • Work with production technologies including Red Hat Satellite, Ceph, Ansible Automation Platform, and Linux-based systems in enterprise environments.
- • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure rapid resolution of critical system outages or performance degradation.
- • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team to support consistent operational practices across global regions.
- • Adapt to evolving infrastructure needs by continuously learning and applying new open source technologies and automation methodologies.
- • Maintain strict adherence to operational standards while working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
- • Engage in cross-functional coordination with other engineering and support teams to align automation efforts with broader platform goals.
- • Ensure system configurations comply with enterprise security and compliance requirements in a distributed, multi-datacenter setup.
- • Proactively identify potential system failures or bottlenecks and implement preventive automation or monitoring solutions.
- • Support the integration of new tools and platforms into the existing infrastructure while maintaining stability and scalability.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years experience administering a Linux-based production environment
- • Experience with scripting and automation (Ansible and/or Python)
- • Experience with either OpenStack or OpenShift in production environments
- • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced, multicultural, global team across time zones
- • Good communication skills in English and strong collaboration skills
- • Passion for open source technologies and continuous learning
