  • • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global talent operations processes to ensure a seamless, fast, and human candidate experience across all regions.
  • • Own the integrity and utility of talent systems, data pipelines, and reporting tools that directly inform hiring decisions and measure recruitment effectiveness.
  • • Partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and global HR teams to identify friction points in the hiring journey and implement scalable solutions that reduce administrative burden and increase efficiency.
  • • Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics that track key talent acquisition KPIs, providing actionable insights to optimize hiring velocity and candidate satisfaction.
  • • Ensure all talent operations workflows align with Octopus Energy’s values, reinforcing candidate love through consistent, transparent, and responsive interactions at every touchpoint.
  • • Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to enhance ATS functionality, automate repetitive tasks, and integrate tools that support a unified global hiring experience.
  • • Monitor and refine onboarding data flows to ensure smooth transitions from offer acceptance to first day, contributing to improved new hire retention and engagement.
  • • Act as the primary point of contact for talent technology issues, troubleshooting system errors, coordinating updates, and training users to maximize adoption and accuracy.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities to standardize processes across international markets while respecting local labor regulations and cultural nuances.
  • • Conduct regular audits of hiring data to ensure compliance, eliminate bias, and improve the quality of insights used to guide talent strategy.
  • • Support the scaling of Octopus’s global hiring engine by documenting best practices, creating SOPs, and mentoring junior talent operations staff as the team grows.
  • • Translate recruiter and hiring manager feedback into system improvements, ensuring that tools and processes are not just functional but genuinely loved by users.
  • • Champion a data-driven culture within Talent by making complex metrics accessible, understandable, and actionable for non-technical stakeholders.
  • • Work cross-functionally with People Analytics, Diversity & Inclusion, and Employer Branding teams to align talent operations with broader organizational goals.
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of global hiring trends and emerging technologies to continuously evolve Octopus’s talent operations strategy.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in talent operations, recruitment operations, or HR systems management within a fast-growing global organization
  • • Strong proficiency in ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Workday) and HRIS systems
  • • Demonstrated ability to design and maintain data-driven reporting and dashboards for talent metrics
  • • Experience automating recruitment workflows and improving process efficiency through technology
  • • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence recruiters, hiring managers, and technical teams
  • • Deep understanding of global hiring compliance and data privacy regulations
