  • • Execute direct tax compliance operations in Brazil, including assessment, verification, and reconciliation of corporate income taxes (IRPJ and CSLL) under both Actual Profit (Lucro Real) and Presumed Profit (Lucro Presumido) regimes.
  • • Perform monthly calculations and filings for taxes on revenue and services, including ISS (Municipal Service Tax), PIS, and COFINS, ensuring accuracy in withholding rules and place-of-service provisions.
  • • Validate and manage withholding taxes on incoming services, including IRRF, CSRF, and withheld ISS, ensuring full compliance with Brazilian federal and municipal regulations.
  • • Ensure timely submission of all accessory obligations in Brazil, including EFD-Contribuições, EFD-Reinf, DCTF, DCTFWeb, and ECF, aligning with fiscal authority deadlines and requirements.
  • • Oversee and audit tax calculations and reporting performed by external accounting firms in Mexico, specifically regarding corporate ISR (30% federal rate on service profits) and IVA (16% VAT on services and imported services).
  • • Monitor and reconcile Mexican withholding taxes on independent contractors, payroll-related obligations, and mandatory employee profit-sharing (PTU), validating their impact on the local fiscal base.
  • • Ensure Mexican accounting partners accurately transmit electronic accounting records and mandatory tax reports to the SAT (Servicio de AdministraciĂłn Tributaria).
  • • Audit corporate tax compliance in Colombia, focusing on Impuesto sobre la Renta y Complementarios for service-based revenue, ensuring alignment with local tax law.
  • • Monitor and validate the correct application of IVA (19% VAT) on services and software licensing, including local VAT withholding (ReteIva) mechanisms.
  • • Control and reconcile ICA (Impuesto de Industria y Comercio), the municipal tax on commercial activities, and its associated withholding (ReteIca), ensuring accurate reporting to municipal authorities.
  • • Validate the application of general income tax withholding at source (Retefuente) applied by clients or levied on local vendors in Colombia.
  • • Ensure regular and accurate data submission to DIAN (DirecciĂłn de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales) platforms through local accounting partners, maintaining compliance with Colombian reporting standards.
  • • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of all tax accounts—including payable, recoverable, and withheld taxes—using double-entry bookkeeping methodology.
  • • Prepare detailed corporate tax calculation sheets and serve as the primary point of contact during internal and external audits for Latin American tax positions.
  • • Act as the central authority ensuring tax governance across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia, mitigating risks of dual taxation, penalties, and non-compliance.
  • • Interact directly with outsourced accounting firms in Mexico and Colombia to audit deliverables, clarify regulatory interpretations, and align on tax treatment for cross-border service transactions.
  • • Communicate tax positions and reporting outcomes to global stakeholders in English, including headquarters teams in the UK and other international offices.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia to proactively identify compliance updates and recommend adjustments to tax strategy.
  • • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure tax data integrity across systems and reporting modules.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or related fields
  • • Solid experience in Brazilian tax routines including IRPJ, CSLL, ISS, PIS, and COFINS
  • • Proven experience managing and auditing deliverables from international accounting firms in Mexico and Colombia
  • • Advanced to fluent level in both Spanish and English
