- • As a Team Lead, Engineering at Deel, you will lead a cross-functional team of 6-10 professionals, balancing 50% hands-on technical work with 50% leadership responsibilities, driving technical excellence and mentoring your team in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- • You will design, code, and deliver high-quality, scalable applications using Node.js, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure best practices in development, testing, and deployment to maintain high coding standards and technical quality.
- • You will collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to align on goals, drive complex projects, and resolve multi-team technical challenges by fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders.
- • You will play an active role in hiring, performance management, and cultivating a culture of collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and engineering excellence, championing diversity and supporting the professional growth of team members.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong software engineering fundamentals including solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, experience designing maintainable and scalable systems, and ability to write clean, structured, and testable code.
- • Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries from scratch and deep understanding of data structures and query performance/impact.
- • Experience working with APIs and distributed systems, including debugging integrations, understanding data flow across services, and handling incidents in production environments.
- • Experience leading teams, providing mentorship, managing performance cycles, and fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.
