- • Design, architect, and build performant, scalable applications using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Postgres deployed on AWS infrastructure.
- • Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure on AWS (including Lambda, RDS, SQS) to ensure security, scalability, and reliability of the patient journey and supply chain platform.
- • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the engineering team, collaborating closely with the Head of Engineering on technical direction and execution.
- • Own solutions end-to-end — from gathering requirements with end-users, to delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement of core software systems.
- • Leverage AI technologies to drive development efficiency while maintaining human oversight to ensure code quality and system excellence.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform how patient care is delivered through integrated software solutions that connect with third-party systems.
- • Develop and maintain e-commerce and API integrations to support platform functionality and interoperability with external services.
- • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate deployment and infrastructure management.
- • Apply strong software design principles and system architecture fundamentals to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- • Maintain a deep interest in engineering and mathematical fundamentals to inform robust technical decisions.
- • Work within a lean, agile team structure, embracing iteration, rapid feedback, and continuous improvement.
- • Contribute to a platform that directly impacts patient access to cannabis-based medicines by streamlining clinical workflows and supply chain operations.
- • Stay current with emerging AI-driven development practices, including agentic coding, and evaluate their practical application within the product stack.
- • Represent Montu UK at industry events and contribute to team growth through knowledge sharing and skill development.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or Lead Engineer
- • 5+ years in software development with strong Node.js/TypeScript skills and expertise in relational databases
- • Demonstrable expertise (min. 3 years) in managing and enhancing AWS cloud infrastructure (Lambda, RDS, SQS)
- • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- • E-commerce/API design and integration experience
- • A natural interest and leaning towards maths & engineering fundamentals
