- • As a Tech Lead for Android Core Product at Speechify, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company’s most-used Android text-to-speech application, which serves over 50 million users globally. This role is critical to ensuring that reading remains accessible and barrier-free for individuals with learning differences, vision impairments, and other needs, directly supporting Speechify’s mission to empower learning through audio.
- • Day to day, you will own major features from concept to release, collaborating closely with design and product teams to deliver high-quality user experiences. You will maintain and improve reliability metrics, review pull requests, support teammates, handle critical issues, and provide nightly builds for QA. You’ll also shape the direction of the Android team by contributing to technical decisions and fostering a culture of excellence and ownership.
- • Speechify is a fully remote, fast-growing company with nearly 200 employees worldwide, including engineers from Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and top academic institutions. The organization operates with a flat structure that rewards technical excellence, initiative, and results, enabling engineers to lead through impact rather than hierarchy. You’ll join a passionate team dedicated to innovation at the intersection of AI and audio technology.
