📋 Description

• As a Tech Lead for Web Core Product & Chrome Extension at Speechify, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of accessible reading technology used by over 50 million people worldwide. Your work will directly impact how users consume content through Speechify’s iOS, Android, Mac, Web, and Chrome Extension products, ensuring reading is never a barrier to learning.
• Day to day, you will actively ship production code to web products, collaborate closely with your dedicated product team, participate in product discussions to influence the roadmap, and contribute to new features that enhance user experience and scalability for millions of users.
• You will join a fully distributed, high-caliber team of over 200 engineers, AI researchers, and product experts from companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Stanford, Stripe, Vercel, and Bolt. Speechify operates with a flat organizational structure where leadership is earned through technical excellence, rapid delivery, and strong communication.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern web technologies, lead through influence in a fast-paced startup environment, and gain ownership over product-critical systems while contributing to a culture that values innovation, speed, and customer obsession.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience building and shipping products that have scaled to thousands or millions of users
• Strong customer obsession with a passion for building high-quality products that serve real user needs
• Ability to work quickly, prioritize effectively, and decide what can ship now versus what requires more time
• Skill in balancing heads-down focus with effective collaboration in a high-growth, remote team environment
• Experience inspiring and negotiating with cross-functional partners including designers, marketers, and product managers
• Proficiency in the tech stack: Vanilla JS, ReactJS, Redux, Firebase, and Typescript
