đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Technical Implementation Manager at Knox Systems, you will be at the forefront of enabling critical U.S. government missions by ensuring seamless onboarding and operationalization of customers into our secure, FedRAMP-authorized Federal cloud environment. This role is specifically designed for seasoned professionals who possess a deep understanding of guiding clients through complex, compliance-driven deployments, with a particular emphasis on FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and the intricacies of 24x7 SRE, NOC, or SOC-backed operational environments. You will be the linchpin in the customer journey, meticulously guiding them from the initial kickoff meeting through to a successful production go-live, guaranteeing that their deployed environments rigorously adhere to Knox's stringent FedRAMP security, operational, and reliability standards.
  • • Your primary function will be to act as the central point of coordination, harmonizing the efforts of customer technical teams with Knox's internal SRE, Security Operations, Compliance, and Engineering departments. This involves driving crystal-clear alignment on critical aspects such as security controls, operational runbooks, access management models, robust monitoring strategies, effective incident response protocols, and the nuances of steady-state operations. You will be instrumental in translating complex technical and compliance requirements into actionable project plans and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and accountable.
  • • You will own the entire customer onboarding lifecycle, a comprehensive process that spans from the initial professional services kickoff to the final transition into steady-state operations. This end-to-end ownership demands proactive engagement, meticulous planning, and a keen eye for detail to ensure every phase is executed flawlessly and in accordance with federal mandates.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve leading FedRAMP-aligned onboarding engagements. This means you will be responsible for ensuring that customer environments not only meet but exceed the demanding security, compliance, monitoring, incident response, and overall operational readiness requirements stipulated by FedRAMP. You will be the guardian of compliance throughout the onboarding process.
  • • You will serve as the primary liaison and coordinator, orchestrating seamless collaboration between Knox's internal Engineering, SRE, NOC, SOC, Security, and Compliance teams during the critical customer onboarding phase. Your ability to foster effective communication and collaboration across these diverse teams will be paramount to success.
  • • Driving the cadence of onboarding meetings will be a key responsibility. You will ensure these meetings have clear, compliance-aware agendas, facilitating decisive action, fostering alignment among all participants, and establishing clear lines of accountability.
  • • You will meticulously manage detailed, multi-workstream project plans. These plans will encompass a wide array of critical elements, including the implementation of security controls, system integrations, the establishment of robust access models, comprehensive logging and monitoring strategies, effective alerting mechanisms, and ensuring readiness for incident response.
  • • Proactive risk identification is crucial. You will be expected to identify potential risks related to FedRAMP controls, operational gaps, or service readiness. Upon identification, you will escalate these issues promptly and drive the development and execution of effective mitigation plans.
  • • You will act as a trusted technical and operational advisor to our federal customers. This involves helping them deeply understand Knox's Federal operating model, the critical boundaries of shared responsibility, and the high expectations associated with production environments within a federal context.
  • • Coordinating with external stakeholders for technical deep dives, thorough runbook reviews, the validation of security workflows, and comprehensive go-live readiness assessments will be a regular part of your duties. Your ability to manage these external interactions effectively will be key to a smooth onboarding process.
  • • Ensuring the completeness and auditability of all onboarding artifacts is non-negotiable. This includes meticulously documenting meeting notes, maintaining action logs, and preparing comprehensive operational handoff materials.
  • • You will guarantee that customer environments are fully integrated into Knox's SRE, NOC, and SOC workflows. This integration covers all aspects of monitoring, alerting, escalation procedures, and incident response, ensuring a cohesive operational picture.
  • • Validating that customers fully understand and align with operational SLAs, incident management processes, and change management expectations is essential for long-term success and service reliability.
  • • You will support the seamless transition from the onboarding phase to steady-state operations, ensuring that no critical context or accountability is lost between the implementation and operational teams. You will serve as the vital connective tissue linking implementation, operations, and customer success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of experience managing complex technical implementations in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
  • • Direct experience supporting or onboarding customers into FedRAMP-authorized, government, or highly regulated cloud environments.
  • • Strong background working with or alongside SRE, NOC, or SOC teams, including familiarity with incident management, monitoring, and operational readiness.
  • • Proven ability to manage multi-threaded programs with customer-facing responsibilities and high operational stakes.
  • • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and production SaaS environments.
  • • Ability to translate compliance, security, and operational requirements into clear project plans and deliverables.
  • • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage executives, engineers, security teams, and compliance stakeholders.
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of our work with federal government clients.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive employee benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • • Life & Disability insurance coverage.
  • • Unlimited Paid Time Off (PEO).
  • • Employee-funded 401k plan.
