- • As a Technical Lead at Agility IO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical foundation of complex full-stack applications and cloud-based systems for startups and Fortune 500 clients, directly impacting product quality, scalability, and innovation across distributed engineering teams in Latin America and beyond.
- • You will drive architectural excellence, mentor engineers, and ensure adherence to best practices in scalability, security, and performance while bridging technical execution with business objectives through close collaboration with product, design, and stakeholder teams.

- • You will deepen your expertise in modern cloud-native architectures, lead high-impact technical initiatives, and grow as a leader by mentoring engineers, defining engineering standards, and influencing long-term technical direction across multiple projects.
- • Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of complex full-stack applications and cloud-based systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical excellence from concept to deployment.
- • Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, establishing and enforcing standards for scalability, performance, security, and reliability while guiding teams through ambiguous technical challenges.
- • Guide and mentor engineers through structured code reviews, pair programming sessions, and technical coaching to elevate team capability and foster a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into feasible, scalable technical solutions and ensure alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
- • Define and enforce engineering standards, coding guidelines, and CI/CD practices to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency across all development teams and projects.
- • Proactively identify technical risks, evaluate trade-offs, and propose mitigation strategies or architectural improvements to prevent bottlenecks and ensure system resilience.
- • Drive adoption of modern technologies, tools, and processes—including serverless architectures, containerization, and observability platforms—to enhance developer productivity and system maintainability.
- • Oversee system reliability, observability, and infrastructure performance, acting as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and leading post-mortem analyses to drive preventive action.
- • Balance hands-on coding with strategic oversight, contributing directly to codebases while ensuring architectural integrity and team effectiveness across distributed environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership or technical lead role
- • Proven experience architecting scalable applications using modern web technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, with proficiency in at least one additional language (e.g., C#, Python)
- • Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred), including hands-on experience with serverless, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architectures
- • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation) and deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring/observability tools
- • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills across distributed teams, with fluency in English and the ability to balance hands-on coding with architectural oversight and team mentoring
