📋 Description

• Lead the architecture and design of full-stack web applications and distributed systems, overseeing both frontend and backend development from concept to deployment.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams, mentoring developers in frontend (ReactJS, TypeScript) and backend (Python/FastAPI or Java) domains.
• Define and enforce coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure high code quality across the software development lifecycle.
• Architect and build scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI preferred) or Java (Spring Boot/Quarkus), focusing on performance, security, and maintainability.
• Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs with strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
• Develop asynchronous processing pipelines using tools such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Redis for high-throughput, decoupled workflows.
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize queries using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases to support large-scale data operations.
• Build modern web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript, creating reusable UI components and scalable frontend architectures with state management and API integrations.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on AWS, leveraging services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and other cloud-native tools.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and environment provisioning to ensure rapid, reliable releases.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate microservices with Kubernetes for scalable and resilient deployments.
• Ensure system observability through comprehensive logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing across all layers of the application stack.
• Lead discussions on scalable system design, including microservices, caching strategies, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native architectures.
• Drive adoption of security best practices and compliance standards across all systems and workflows.
• Leverage AI tools and frameworks to enhance product capabilities, including intelligent search, automation, recommendation systems, or conversational interfaces using LLMs, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.
• Contribute to or lead the integration of AI-driven features into existing products, evaluating opportunities to improve workflows with intelligent automation.
• Maintain alignment with Juniper Square’s digital-first hybrid workplace strategy, collaborating effectively across global teams in India, the U.S., Canada, Luxembourg, and England.
• Operate in a fast-paced, agile environment with high standards for ownership, urgency, and problem-solving, contributing to a culture of transparency and feedback.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8–10 years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong expertise in Python (FastAPI preferred) OR Java, ReactJS, and TypeScript
• Proven experience with REST and GraphQL API development, asynchronous processing (Celery or similar), and AWS cloud services
• Solid understanding of microservices architectures, distributed systems, SQL/NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization for microservice orchestration
