Having achieved a doubling of our customer base in the past year, we are now poised for a significant phase of accelerated growth and are seeking a dynamic Technical Lead Manager to spearhead product delivery for our flagship SewerAI platform.
• • In this deeply product-focused leadership role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our automated sewer inspection analysis and asset management product. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to define product strategy and roadmap, translate that vision into concrete engineering plans, and inspire a talented team of engineers to execute flawlessly. A key aspect of this position is the expectation that you will remain hands-on, actively contributing to the codebase and architectural decisions, thereby serving as the crucial link between high-level product strategy and meticulous engineering execution. Your primary objective will be to ensure we are not only building the right solutions but also building them to the highest standards of quality and delivering them with agility.
• • This is not a role for managers who have stepped away from coding. We expect you to be actively involved in architectural discussions, conduct thorough code reviews, provide technical guidance to unblock engineers, and contribute code directly. Simultaneously, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and fostering the professional development of your engineering team, cultivating a high-performing and motivated unit.
• • Your responsibilities will encompass owning product delivery from inception to completion. This involves partnering with Product and Design from the initial discovery phase through to final delivery, translating the overarching product vision into detailed engineering plans, establishing clear priorities, and driving execution with a strong emphasis on shipping impactful features. You will lead and nurture a team of skilled full-stack and backend engineers, conducting regular 1:1 meetings, providing constructive feedback, supporting their career aspirations, and cultivating an environment of shared ownership and accountability.
• • You will play a pivotal role in shaping the product itself, acting as a strong advocate for what we build, not merely how we build it. This includes critically evaluating product requirements, championing the user's perspective, identifying potential gaps, and consistently pushing for solutions that are both simple and impactful. Driving technical quality will be paramount; you will establish robust engineering standards for your team, actively participate in design reviews, ensure the long-term viability of architectural decisions, and maintain the health and integrity of the codebase.
• • A key performance indicator will be your ability to ship with urgency. This means proactively removing impediments, making decisive calls on scope reduction when necessary, and maintaining a sharp focus on achieving tangible outcomes rather than simply accumulating backlog items. Your ultimate concern will be the successful deployment of features into production, not just their presence in the development pipeline. Furthermore, you will foster seamless cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment across the organization and provide your team with the resources and support they need to succeed.
