📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Zerion’s API ecosystem—from initial ideation and technical design through deployment, monitoring, and iterative optimization—ensuring every release meets aggressive timelines and uncompromising quality standards that power thousands of Web3 developers and millions of end-users.
• Spearhead continuous R&D into bleeding-edge features such as real-time webhooks, event-driven data streaming, and low-latency indexing to keep the API roadmap two steps ahead of market demand and competitor offerings.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a cross-functional API team of backend engineers, DevOps specialists, and technical writers; cultivate a culture of psychological safety, rapid experimentation, and customer obsession that turns ambitious roadmaps into daily deliverables.
• Drive all people-processes for the API group: quarterly performance reviews, hiring bar-setting, onboarding playbooks, and head-count planning that align team growth with company OKRs and revenue targets.
• Craft and continuously refine Zerion API’s long-term product vision, translating macro trends in DeFi, NFTs, and multi-chain infrastructure into a sequenced roadmap that balances moon-shot innovation with near-term monetization.
• Identify and close high-impact integration partnerships with wallets, custodians, market makers, and data providers; negotiate technical scopes, co-marketing plans, and shared KPIs that expand Zerion’s distribution footprint.
• Architect and execute a tiered subscription and usage-based pricing model that maximizes developer adoption while growing predictable, high-margin revenue streams; iterate quarterly using cohort analysis and price-elasticity experiments.
• Partner with Growth, Marketing, and Developer Relations to define API adoption metrics (TTI, TTFHW, churn, NPS), craft compelling positioning narratives, and orchestrate launch campaigns that turn GitHub stargazers into paying power-users.
• Own the canonical developer experience: maintain pristine OpenAPI specs, auto-generated SDKs, interactive tutorials, and code samples that reduce integration time from days to minutes and earn unsolicited praise on Crypto Twitter.
• Instrument granular observability across endpoints—latency, error rates, cost per call, and client usage patterns—then translate raw logs into actionable insights for Finance, Data, and Executive teams to optimize reliability, pricing, and gross margins.
• Act as Zerion’s public face at ETHDenver, Devcon, and regional hackathons; deliver technical keynotes, judge bounty tracks, and recruit open-source contributors who evangelize the API organically.
• Enjoy full remote flexibility across any U.S. timezone, supported by quarterly off-sites, home-office stipends, and asynchronous rituals that keep collaboration high and meeting fatigue low.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of product management experience within DeFi, crypto, or Web3 infrastructure; must include at least one full product lifecycle from zero to scale.
• 1+ year hands-on with data analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Plausible, plus fluency in SQL and usage-telemetry dashboards.
• 2+ years defining success metrics, building financial models for monetization, and tracking KPIs across consumer or infrastructure launches.
• Deep working knowledge of DeFi protocols (Uniswap, Aave), web3 wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect), and Ethereum smart-contract fundamentals.
• Proven record of technical writing—OpenAPI specs, SDK docs, and developer onboarding guides that developers actually read and love.
