- • Lead end-to-end program management for complex technical initiatives, owning planning, execution, and delivery from conception through launch, including scope definition, timeline setting, and risk management.
- • Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering teams, product managers, design, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment, clear communication, and shared understanding of program goals.
- • Optimize product development processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency, predictability, and quality across the software development lifecycle.
- • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations by communicating program status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes with transparency to technical and non-technical audiences.
- • Identify, escalate, and resolve technical, operational, and organizational roadblocks that could impede program delivery, ensuring timely mitigation and minimal disruption.
- • Define and track clear success metrics for all programs, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making, measure progress, and report outcomes to leadership.
- • Contribute to the founding and evolution of the TPM function at Valon as the second TPM, helping define vision, strategy, frameworks, and best practices for program management across the organization.
- • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure adherence to agile methodologies and standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- • Coordinate program deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives within a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment characterized by rapid iteration and evolving priorities.
- • Work directly with teams building ValonOS, the AI-native operating system for regulated finance, ensuring technical programs align with the platform’s architecture and regulatory compliance requirements.
- • Engage with internal stakeholders including operations, legal, and compliance teams to ensure technical programs meet the stringent requirements of the mortgage servicing industry.
- • Support scaling of product development processes as Valon expands enterprise deployments across the mortgage servicing industry.
- • Maintain awareness of industry-specific complexities in regulated finance, particularly mortgage servicing, to inform program design and risk assessment.
- • Facilitate alignment between engineering capacity and product roadmaps to ensure resource allocation supports strategic priorities and delivery timelines.
- • Document and refine program workflows, escalation paths, and communication protocols to establish repeatable, scalable program management practices.
- • Partner with leadership to translate business objectives into technical program outcomes, ensuring all initiatives drive measurable impact on company goals.
- • Maintain a proactive approach to anticipating challenges before they arise, using structured planning and risk mitigation strategies to maintain program momentum.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in a fast-paced, complex software development environment.
- • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical programs.
- • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various agile methodologies.
- • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
- • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving startup environment.
