- • Own the end-to-end technical recruiting funnel for engineering and technical roles, from strategy development to offer closure, with direct impact on company growth and team scaling
- • Build scalable, high-performing recruiting processes from scratch for hiring engineers, data scientists, and technical talent at a fast-growing Series B AI-native B2B company
- • Work directly with founders and leadership to define hiring needs, prioritize roles, and align recruitment strategy with company objectives
- • Source, engage, and close top-tier technical candidates in highly competitive markets using creative and proactive outreach methods
- • Design and implement structured onboarding and retention strategies tailored to engineering talent to improve long-term hire success
- • Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, pipeline health, and source effectiveness to drive data-informed decisions
- • Leverage Ashby ATS and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter to manage candidate pipelines, automate workflows, and maintain accurate recruitment data
- • Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering candidates, ensuring a seamless, positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- • Manage multiple concurrent technical searches across roles including software engineering, machine learning, backend, frontend, and DevOps
- • Continuously improve recruiting efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, refining interview processes, and implementing best practices in technical talent acquisition
- • Serve as a key partner to engineering managers to understand role requirements, technical competencies, and cultural fit criteria
- • Represent Pylon at technical events, university career fairs, and industry networks to build employer brand and pipeline for future hiring needs
- • Ensure compliance with hiring policies and equitable practices across all stages of recruitment
- • Coordinate relocation logistics and provide support for candidates moving to San Francisco to join the team
- • Maintain a deep understanding of the AI-native customer support market and the technical skills required to build Pylon’s next-generation platform
- • Collaborate with HR and People Operations to align recruiting efforts with broader organizational goals and culture initiatives
- • Proactively identify talent gaps and anticipate future hiring needs based on company roadmap and engineering team expansion plans
- • Deliver regular reporting and insights to Chief of Staff and leadership on recruitment progress, market trends, and hiring challenges
- • Maintain a high-touch, candidate-centric approach while scaling operations to support a team growing from 100+ employees
- • Ensure all hiring activities reflect Pylon’s values of innovation, collaboration, and AI-driven excellence
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience at fast-paced, high-growth startups
- • Proven success sourcing and hiring across technical roles at B2B startups
- • Ability to manage multiple searches and projects at once
- • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering great candidate experience
- • Experience with Ashby ATS and sourcing tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter)
