📋 Description

• Technical Recruiter, AI role at Lazer Technologies Inc., a remote-first digital product studio with 180+ senior engineers and designers from top tech companies, focused on sourcing and hiring elite AI and engineering talent to support high-impact client projects.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include proactive sourcing for AI and engineering roles, managing end-to-end candidate communications, maintaining accurate records in Ashby, screening inbound and sourced candidates, leveraging AI tools for sourcing automation and outreach, supporting offer logistics, and developing market intelligence on AI engineering compensation and trends.
• The team operates in a fast-moving, low-structure, remote-first environment headquartered in Toronto with global employees, composed of senior technical talent from companies like Apple, Google, and Coinbase, serving clients ranging from startups to enterprises including Google, Shopify, and Coinbase.
• In this role, you will develop deep fluency in AI engineering concepts (LLMs, agents, RAG, evals), sharpen your ability to assess technical talent, master AI-powered recruiting tools, gain exposure to cutting-edge projects across industries, and build expertise in competitive talent markets while contributing to the growth of a high-performing tech studio.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of recruiting experience sourcing and screening technical talent — software engineers, AI/ML engineers, or adjacent roles
• Active AI tool user — sourcing agents, automated outreach sequences, AI-assisted screening
• Credibly fluent on the AI engineering side — can hold a conversation about LLMs, agents, RAG, or evals
• Strong written communicator — outreach gets opened and replied to because it sounds like a real person who did the research
• Organized and proactive with admin — keeps the ATS clean, moves candidates through stages without being chased
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, low-structure environment — things change quickly and you don't need a lot of hand-holding
