This is a unique opportunity to shape and enhance our product and internal documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for a diverse audience, including our valued customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • As a Technical Writer, you will immerse yourself in the intricacies of our cutting-edge technology. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving a wide range of technical content, including API documentation, user guides, tutorials, release notes, knowledge base articles, and internal process documentation. Your work will directly impact the user experience and the efficiency of our internal operations.
  • You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, quality assurance testers, and customer support specialists to gain a deep understanding of our products, features, and technical architecture. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
  • A key aspect of your role will involve identifying documentation needs and gaps. You will proactively assess where documentation can be improved or where new content is required to support product launches, feature updates, or to address common user inquiries. This includes developing and implementing strategies for content organization, information architecture, and content lifecycle management.
  • You will be expected to write and edit technical content with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established style guides and best practices. This involves not only crafting new content but also meticulously reviewing and updating existing documentation to reflect the latest product changes and technical advancements.
  • The ability to understand and document complex technical concepts, such as data structures, algorithms, network protocols, and security principles, will be crucial. You will need to be comfortable working with technical specifications, code samples, and engineering discussions.
  • You will play a vital role in ensuring that our documentation is discoverable and easily navigable. This may involve contributing to the development of search functionalities within our documentation platforms and ensuring proper tagging and categorization of content.
  • For internal documentation, you will contribute to the creation and maintenance of resources that empower our engineering and support teams. This could include internal wikis, process guides, troubleshooting manuals, and onboarding materials, all designed to foster knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
  • You will be an advocate for the user, ensuring that documentation meets their needs and helps them achieve their goals with our products. This involves gathering feedback from users and internal stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and relevance of our documentation.
  • This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States, allowing you to integrate your professional responsibilities with your personal life seamlessly. You will be part of a forward-thinking company that values innovation, collaboration, and the professional growth of its employees.
  • We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and possesses a natural talent for explaining complex subjects in a simple and understandable manner. Your contributions will be instrumental in enhancing our product's usability, supporting our customers, and driving the overall success of DomainTools.
  • You will be involved in the entire documentation lifecycle, from initial planning and research to writing, editing, publishing, and ongoing maintenance. This includes managing documentation projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with various documentation tools and technologies will be beneficial, and you should be adaptable to learning new platforms and methodologies as required by the evolving needs of the company and its products.
  • Ultimately, your goal will be to empower our users and internal teams with the knowledge they need to effectively leverage the full potential of DomainTools' solutions, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
