📋 Description

• Equip is the leading virtual, evidence-based eating disorder treatment program on a mission to ensure that everyone with an eating disorder can access treatment that works.
• The company operates in all 50 states and is partnered with most major health insurance plans.
• The Physician Assistant will be responsible for caring for children and adults with eating disorders via Equip’s 100% virtual Telehealth platform.
• Physician Assistants are essential members of Equip's 5-person virtual treatment team, working alongside a therapist, dietitian, peer mentor, and family mentor to help people recover from eating disorders.
• The Physician Assistant will manage a high volume patient case-load, provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions, implement medication treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• The Physician Assistant will also engage in treatment team meetings, supervision, and department meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
• The Physician Assistant will work full-time, with working hours between 8am-8pm in the patient's timezone, and will be required to attend mandatory meetings.
• The Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including new patients and follow-up sessions, and will be required to commit to working until 6 pm two evenings per week.
• The Physician Assistant will also be required to maintain active Physician Assistant licenses and pursue cross-licensing as applicable.
• The Physician Assistant will be responsible for communicating effectively with patients and patient’s carers, and responding to messages within a timely manner.
• The Physician Assistant will also be required to participate in training in evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, including Family-Based Treatment, Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for ARFID.
• The Physician Assistant will be required to work from home with no requirement to travel, and will be provided with a company laptop and a $50/month stipend to cover home internet expenses.

🎯 Requirements

• Board Certified as a Physician Assistant
• Ability to maintain active Physician Assistant licenses and pursue cross-licensing as applicable
• 3+ years of experience treating pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in an outpatient setting
• Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent evidence-based care, advancing clinical skills, and a passion for professional development
