  • • As a Compliance Testing Analyst at LemFi, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our financial ecosystem and ensuring the integrity of our operations across multiple jurisdictions. You are not merely an auditor; you are a critical guardian of our commitment to regulatory adherence and customer protection. This role demands a meticulous approach, a keen analytical mind, and a passion for building robust compliance frameworks within a fast-paced fintech environment.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be the comprehensive execution of our global compliance testing program. This involves conducting in-depth, forensic-level reviews of our Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT), Sanctions screening, and Consumer Compliance controls. You will delve into the intricacies of our automated systems, meticulously examine customer files, scrutinize transaction alerts, and review Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to guarantee unwavering adherence to both internal policies and stringent regulatory mandates.
  • • You will be instrumental in identifying control deficiencies and pinpointing "broken" processes that could pose risks to our customers or the company. Your ability to document these findings clearly, concisely, and with actionable detail will be crucial for the Compliance Testing Manager, enabling swift and effective remediation.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be partnering with the Compliance Testing Manager to conceptualize and propose practical, scalable solutions for the identified compliance gaps. This collaborative effort extends to actively tracking these remediation actions through to their successful completion, ensuring that the implemented fixes are not only effective but also sustainable and truly address the root cause of the issue.
  • • Leveraging your data and analytical skills, you will utilize tools such as Excel/Google Sheets and our internal systems to extract, manipulate, and analyze data sets. This analytical prowess will enable you to identify critical trends, select representative samples for testing, and provide data-driven insights that inform our compliance strategy.
  • • You will provide essential support during audit processes, assisting the Compliance Testing Manager in gathering and organizing evidence and documentation required for external regulators and independent auditors. Your diligence in this area will contribute to a smooth and successful audit experience.
  • • Acting as a Quality Assurance (QA) Liaison, you will work closely with the dedicated QA team. Your collaboration will ensure that the day-to-day operational checks performed by the QA team are fully aligned with and supportive of the broader compliance testing framework, creating a cohesive and effective control environment.
  • • You will contribute to the creation of formal testing reports and presentation decks. These documents will serve to clearly articulate your findings, highlight key risks, and track the progress of remediation efforts, providing essential visibility to stakeholders across the organization.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company that is revolutionizing financial services for the Global South. You will be part of a dynamic, international team dedicated to empowering immigrants and underserved communities through accessible and affordable financial tools.
  • • By ensuring the robustness of our compliance controls, you will directly contribute to protecting our millions of users, maintaining the trust placed in LemFi, and supporting our rapid growth and expansion into new markets.
  • • You will gain invaluable experience in a high-growth fintech startup, working with cutting-edge technology and a diverse, passionate team committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of our customers.
  • • The role requires a proactive and diligent individual who is eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be paramount in upholding LemFi's reputation and regulatory standing.
  • • You will be an integral part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to our mission. Your insights and contributions will directly shape the future of financial inclusion for millions worldwide.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 1-3 years of experience in an AML compliance role, specifically within a testing, internal audit, or quality assurance capacity.
  • • Strong data and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and the ability to perform data analysis.
  • • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • • Knowledge of UK, US, EU, and Canadian regulatory requirements related to AML/CFT and consumer protection.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech startup with a global impact.
  • • Be part of a mission-driven company dedicated to financial inclusion.
  • • Professional development and growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization.
