- • As a Transaction Monitoring Compliance QA Analyst IV at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity and compliance of our financial operations. You will be an integral part of the Compliance Operations Quality Assurance team, dedicated to meticulously auditing transaction monitoring system (TMS) cases. Your work will directly support Coinbase’s robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) program, ensuring we meet and exceed regulatory requirements in the rapidly evolving world of cryptocurrency.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve conducting thorough QA reviews of TMS cases, rigorously applying a defined quality rubric to ensure strict adherence to established guidelines and internal policies. This meticulous approach guarantees that our transaction monitoring processes are effective and compliant, safeguarding Coinbase and its users.
- • You will be empowered to proactively identify and tackle challenging and impactful assignments, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement. This includes taking ownership of complex audits that have a substantial impact on Compliance Operations, showcasing your ability to navigate intricate financial crime scenarios and regulatory landscapes.
- • A key aspect of this role involves assisting with Second Line of Defense (2LoD) reviews, providing timely and accurate responses to any findings. This collaboration is crucial for reinforcing our internal controls and risk management framework.
- • You will lead calibration sessions and office hours, providing essential support and guidance to fellow QA analysts. This leadership function ensures consistency in quality assessment and fosters a collaborative learning environment.
- • A significant part of your contribution will be conducting in-depth root cause analysis on thematic issues identified within transaction monitoring. By understanding the underlying causes of problems, you will help develop effective, long-term solutions.
- • You will be instrumental in identifying procedural gaps or inconsistencies within our existing frameworks and proposing well-reasoned solutions. Your insights will directly contribute to refining our operational efficiency and compliance effectiveness.
- • This role also involves conducting comprehensive training for new QA and QC joiners, including validating their practice cases. You will be a key educator, ensuring new team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.
- • Collaboration is central to this position. You will work closely with internal support teams across Data Analytics, Escalations, Financial Crime Compliance, and Learning & Development (L&D) to enhance processes and workflows. This cross-functional partnership is vital for a holistic approach to compliance.
- • You will be responsible for presenting QA findings, insights, and recommendations persuasively to inspire positive change. This includes developing and presenting weekly metrics and dashboards that clearly communicate performance and areas for improvement to stakeholders.
- • You will provide critical feedback on drafted procedures, highlighting areas of opportunity and suggesting enhancements to increase clarity and ensure consistent execution across the team.
- • You will support agents by addressing their queries on complex procedural requirements, acting as a subject matter expert and a reliable resource.
