📋 Description

• Travel to policyholders' homes nationwide to conduct on-site property inspections following insurance claims, assessing damage to residential structures and personal property.
• Prepare detailed, accurate claims estimates using Xactimate and other digital estimating platforms to determine repair costs and settlement amounts.
• Investigate policy coverage by interpreting insurance contracts and applying company guidelines to determine eligibility and extent of claim validity.
• Communicate directly with policyholders via phone, email, and video collaboration tools (e.g., ClaimsX Video Collaboration) to guide them through the claims process with empathy and clarity.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants while adhering to legal standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation within the company’s claims management system to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Access and inspect roofs up to a 6/12 pitch on one- to two-story structures, including carrying and using a 50-pound ladder for safe and thorough assessments.
• Manage a dynamic schedule of 10 days on (including travel) and 4 days off, with workdays ranging between 8 and 12 hours after initial training.
• Complete a mandatory 2-week, in-person training program in Wheeling, IL, Monday through Friday, to learn company systems, claims processes, and field protocols.
• Participate in ongoing, on-the-job training sessions to maintain proficiency in evolving claims technologies, regulations, and customer service standards.
• Obtain and maintain an active state adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, including passing a Department of Labor background check if required by your office/area.
• Operate independently across remote locations while managing multiple claims simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex claim scenarios, including disputed damage assessments, coverage conflicts, and vendor negotiations.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service by leading with compassion, ensuring transparent communication, and restoring policyholders’ confidence during stressful claim events.

🎯 Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 90% of the time and reside within 50 miles or one hour of an international airport
• Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and safely access roofs up to a 6/12 pitch on one- to two-story structures

🏖️ Benefits

• $1,000 Licensing Sign-On Bonus eligibility if possessing active Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License
• Compensation range of $68,000 - $117,700 based on experience and qualifications
• Comprehensive initial and ongoing training programs to develop claims expertise and technical proficiency
• Remote work model with structured 10 days on / 4 days off travel schedule
