- • As Trust and Safety Lead at OpenRouter Inc., you will build and own the Trust, Safety, and Compliance function from the ground up in a 0 → 1 role, defining policy, building systems, and handling operations to ensure safe and compliant AI usage across the platform.
- • Day to day, you will define and enforce policies across accounts, payments, and API usage; design enforcement actions and appeals; build risk-based systems with unified scoring and tiered enforcement; partner with engineering on sanctions controls and identity validation; handle investigations and operational workflows; use AI for triage and decision support; collaborate with model providers on policy alignment; and establish enterprise controls, monitoring frameworks, and KPIs to scale the function.
- • OpenRouter is the AI routing and infrastructure layer powering advanced AI builders, startups, and enterprises through a unified API, billing, and analytics platform, enabling flexible, scalable, and future-proof LLM usage as enterprise adoption accelerates.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in AI governance, sanctions compliance, fraud detection, and cross-functional systems design; build scalable trust and safety infrastructure from scratch; directly influence how OpenRouter is perceived in the enterprise AI market; and develop leadership experience in a high-ownership, remote-first environment with significant impact on product and policy.
