  • • Coordinate end-to-end vetting processes for candidates applying to roles across Jobandtalent’s UK operations, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • • Manage and verify candidate documentation including identity proofs, right-to-work checks, criminal record disclosures, and employment history validations.
  • • Liaise with third-party vetting providers to streamline background checks, track turnaround times, and resolve discrepancies in candidate data.
  • • Maintain accurate and secure records of all vetting activities in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection regulations.
  • • Communicate clearly with candidates regarding vetting requirements, timelines, and documentation gaps, providing timely updates and support.
  • • Collaborate with recruitment teams to prioritize vetting tasks based on role urgency, client requirements, and candidate pipeline status.
  • • Identify inefficiencies in the vetting workflow and propose process improvements to reduce delays and enhance candidate experience.
  • • Ensure all vetting activities align with Jobandtalent’s commitment to fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory hiring practices.
  • • Monitor and report on key vetting metrics including completion rates, average processing time, and rejection reasons to support operational decision-making.
  • • Stay updated on changes in UK employment law, immigration rules, and background check regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
  • • Train and support junior team members on vetting protocols, system usage, and documentation standards.
  • • Escalate high-risk or complex vetting cases to legal or compliance teams with detailed context and recommended actions.
  • • Work closely with HR and operations teams to integrate vetting outcomes into onboarding workflows and candidate status tracking systems.
  • • Conduct periodic audits of vetting files to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to internal policies.
  • • Maintain confidentiality of all candidate information and handle sensitive data with the highest level of discretion.
  • • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align vetting procedures with broader talent acquisition strategies and business goals.
  • • Adapt vetting procedures to accommodate different types of roles, including temporary, gig, and permanent positions, each with unique compliance needs.
  • • Use internal applicant tracking systems and vetting platforms to log, update, and retrieve candidate records efficiently.
  • • Respond to internal and external audit requests with timely provision of vetting documentation and process explanations.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of vetting templates, checklists, and communication scripts to enhance clarity and reduce candidate drop-off.
