- • As an Underwriting Associate for Large Accounts at EMC Insurance Companies, you will play a critical role in supporting the underwriting process for commercial insurance policies, ensuring accurate risk assessment, timely renewals, and strong agent relationships that contribute to long-term profitability and customer retention.
- • Day to day, you will lead renewal preparation for assigned accounts, evaluate risk profiles, prepare submissions for rating, triage new business opportunities, review and approve endorsements and cancellations, and collaborate with underwriters and internal teams to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and pricing objectives.
- • You will be part of a collaborative, caring, and responsive team at EMC Insurance, a company committed to being close partners and experts who support each other to do their best work while improving lives through reliable insurance solutions.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in commercial underwriting processes, strengthen your analytical and communication skills, gain exposure to risk assessment tools and systems, and build a foundation for career growth within the insurance industry.
🎯 Requirements
- • Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience
- • One year of insurance industry experience or related experience (Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for experience)
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong data entry accuracy
- • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
