- • Underwriting Expert for AI Research Project – a remote, part-time role where deep insurance underwriting expertise directly shapes how frontier AI models reason through complex risk scenarios, ensuring AI systems reflect real-world judgment in pricing, appetite, and exposure.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing realistic underwriting tasks (submissions, risk calls, pricing decisions), writing evaluation rubrics that mirror expert underwriter reasoning, reviewing AI-generated outputs for misjudgments in risk or guideline application, building benchmark reference materials, and clearly communicating decisions and rationale in writing.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5–8+ years of experience in commercial or specialty lines underwriting, as an underwriter, senior underwriter, or underwriting manager
- • Proven ability to own a book and judge appetite fit and price a risk on sight
- • CPCU, ARM, ACII/FCII, or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)
- • Ability to explain underwriting decisions clearly to teach reasoning, not just outcomes
