US Auditor (Latin America)

📋 Description

• • As a US Auditor supporting a dynamic portfolio of US clients, you will plan and execute audits, turn complex accounting standards into clear insights, and help clients strengthen controls before issues become findings. You will partner with accounting teams and CPA firms across US time zones, blending rigor with practicality to document audit trails that stand up to scrutiny.
• • You will orchestrate audits from kickoff to wrap-up: defining scope and materiality, mapping risks, performing walkthroughs of key processes (revenue recognition, purchasing, payroll, inventory), designing and executing substantive procedures, evaluating ASC 606 and ASC 842 compliance, auditing key estimates (AR allowances, inventory, impairments, etc.), applying defensible sampling, leveraging data tools for anomaly detection, building GAAS-compliant workpapers, identifying control deficiencies, proposing remediation, and managing wrap-up procedures including representation letters and final reporting.
• • You will join CAS, a firm supporting US clients with audit services, operating with a documentation-first culture, standardized methodologies, and a focus on quality, security, and collaboration through Slack, Zoom, and shared task boards. The role is 100% remote from Latin America with a requirement to align with US business hours.
• • You will deepen your expertise in US GAAP and GAAS, refine audit playbooks, mentor teammates, gain exposure to diverse US industries and modern audit stacks, and develop strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills while working independently with exclusivity.
