- • The US Payroll Specialist role is critical to ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on time, directly impacting employee satisfaction, trust, and organizational compliance. This position serves as a vital link between finance, HR, and operations, safeguarding payroll integrity and supporting seamless financial reporting.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include calculating and processing employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and other compensation with precision and timeliness; maintaining accurate payroll records and preparing related journal entries and reports; tracking and administering employee benefits tied to payroll through third-party providers; monitoring updates in U.S. federal, state, and local labor laws, tax codes, and compliance standards to ensure adherence; handling sensitive employee data with strict confidentiality; responding to employee payroll inquiries and collaborating with HR and finance teams to resolve discrepancies; investigating and correcting payroll errors promptly; reviewing employee expense reports for policy compliance and accuracy; and assisting the accounting manager with specialized tasks such as capitalized software calculations.
- • The Payroll Specialist will join Extend Your Team, LLC, a remote-first organization focused on delivering specialized talent solutions, where payroll accuracy and compliance are foundational to operational excellence. The role operates within a collaborative, cross-functional environment that values precision, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen their expertise in U.S. payroll regulations, gain experience managing end-to-end payroll cycles in a multi-client or corporate setting, and strengthen their analytical and technical skills in Excel-based payroll processing and financial reporting. They will also develop greater confidence in handling complex compliance scenarios and contributing to process improvements that enhance organizational efficiency and employee trust.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end U.S. payroll processing, preferably in a corporate or multi-client environment
- • Strong working knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, tax requirements, and compliance standards, including deductions, benefits, and reporting obligations
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing payroll data, performing calculations, and generating reports
- • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines with zero-tolerance for errors
- • Current residence in the Philippines and flexibility to align work hours with U.S. Eastern Time
