  • • As a UX Designer at PAR Technology, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our cutting-edge restaurant technology solutions. You will translate intricate customer needs and research findings into intuitive, engaging, and innovative designs that empower our clients. This role is at the forefront of discovery and design, where you will craft compelling user interfaces and interactive prototypes that define the future of restaurant operations.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, developers, and a diverse range of cross-functional teams, ensuring that user-centric principles are embedded in every stage of the product development lifecycle. Your work will directly impact the usability and effectiveness of our comprehensive software and hardware offerings, which are used by over 100,000 restaurants in more than 110 countries.
  • • A core aspect of your role will be to lead UX discovery and research initiatives. This involves conducting in-depth user research, performing competitive analyses, and executing usability testing to gather critical insights. These insights will serve as the foundation for your design strategies, driving innovation and refining the user experience across our extensive product suite, from point-of-sale systems to loyalty programs and back-office management tools.
  • • You will be tasked with designing for complex product areas, including intricate dashboards, multi-step configuration flows, robust permission and user management systems, and feature-heavy B2B2C applications. This requires a deep understanding of information architecture and interaction design to simplify complexity and create seamless user journeys.

You will ensure consistency and scalability while adapting to new feature requirements and evolving user needs, maintaining a high standard of visual and interactive design.
  • • Your ability to communicate design concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be paramount. You will advocate for user-centered design best practices, articulating design rationale clearly to build consensus and inspire innovative solutions that align with PAR's core values.

  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of restaurant technology by creating solutions that help our clients build lasting connections with their guests and drive business growth.
  • • You will be a cultural champion, embodying PAR's core values: Act With Urgency, Never Settle, Win Together, Own It, and Deliver Outcomes. Your proactive approach and commitment to excellence will be key to driving our products forward and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • • You will stay ahead of the curve by exploring emerging design trends and technologies, applying new ideas to enhance user engagement and satisfaction. This includes leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate prototyping and design exploration, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in UX design.
  • • The position involves a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on design execution, from initial concept and research through to high-fidelity prototyping and collaboration with development teams.
  • • You will contribute to the creation of intuitive interfaces that simplify complex decision-making processes for enterprise and professional users, such as brand managers, franchisees, and operators, while also considering the needs of the end customers.
  • • A keen eye for detail is essential, balancing aesthetic appeal with functional usability to create products that are both beautiful and highly effective.
  • • You will have the opportunity to mentor peers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the design team, sharing knowledge and fostering a spirit of creative problem-solving.
  • • Your work will directly support PAR's mission to provide Unified Customer Experience solutions, integrating point-of-sale, digital ordering, loyalty, and back-office software with industry-leading hardware.
  • • You will be a key player in ensuring our products reflect PAR's commitment to excellence and our ethos of being 'Better Together.'
