- • Own the end-to-end UX for A1's core app experience across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
- • Design complete user flows for AI-assisted tasks, including intent capture, progress tracking, handoff, task completion, and error recovery.
- • Design how the app visually and interactively surfaces the AI’s actions, decisions, and state transitions — including loading, thinking, acting, waiting, completing, stalling, failing, and recovering.
- • Create clear, reliable, and controllable product experiences that balance complex AI behavior with intuitive consumer-facing interfaces.
- • Collaborate with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to translate user needs and system constraints into concrete design solutions.
- • Conduct usability research to identify points where users lose trust, feel uncertain, or disengage from AI-driven workflows.
- • Produce wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma that engineering teams can build from directly.
- • Contribute to the evolution of the design system and shared UX patterns specifically for AI-powered app interfaces.
- • Design for both simple daily interactions and intricate multi-step AI workflows within the same product ecosystem.
- • Focus on user trust, control, feedback, and transparency in every aspect of the AI-assisted experience.
- • Anticipate and design for edge cases, failure modes, and recovery paths in non-deterministic AI systems.
- • Work in a fast-moving, high-talent-density team with evolving product scope and rapid iteration cycles.
- • Balance simplicity in consumer UX with the complexity of underlying AI system behavior without compromising reliability or clarity.
- • Participate in design assessments and interviews as part of the hiring process, with portfolio submission required.
- • Engage in virtual and/or onsite interviews, with decisions made promptly based on demonstrated skills and mindset.

- • Experience as a UX designer on consumer mobile or web apps, with a strong portfolio
- • Solid skills in user flow design, wireframing, and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma
- • Ability to design for asynchronous, non-deterministic, and context-dependent AI systems
- • Clear thinking about user trust, control, feedback, and transparency in AI-driven product experiences
- • Experience conducting user research and turning findings into design decisions
- • Comfortable working in fast-moving teams with evolving product scope
