- • Build and prototype AI-native product interfaces across web and mobile platforms, focusing on interaction patterns that do not yet have established conventions.
- • Create functional prototypes of new HCI interaction models including streaming responses, multi-step task flows, real-time feedback loops, and system state visibility for AI-driven experiences.
- • Translate design concepts into working code with high attention to usability, responsiveness, motion, and performance in AI interfaces.
- • Experiment with UI patterns that clearly communicate progress, uncertainty, confidence, failure, and recovery to users interacting with AI systems.
- • Design interfaces that enable users to supervise, correct, and redirect AI behavior without requiring micromanagement of system operations.
- • Collaborate closely with product, design, and machine learning teams to rapidly validate interaction ideas through iterative prototyping and testing.
- • Contribute to frontend architecture and develop reusable UI components specifically tailored for AI product surfaces.
- • Identify, diagnose, and resolve usability, performance, and state management issues unique to AI-driven interfaces.
- • Work at the intersection of design and engineering, bridging gaps between ambiguous design concepts and executable code without formal handoffs.
- • Prototype rapidly in environments with incomplete specifications, prioritizing user clarity and functional integrity over rigid adherence to predefined specs.
- • Maintain a strong focus on human-computer interaction principles, ensuring AI behavior is understandable, controllable, and useful in real-world workflows.
- • Apply deep understanding of animation, frontend architecture, and UI performance to create seamless, responsive experiences across devices.
- • Demonstrate strong product and UX instincts by identifying when interfaces are unclear, confusing, or broken from the user’s perspective.
- • Operate independently with high judgment, bringing structure and execution to fast-moving, high-talent-density teams focused on shipping magical AI experiences.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong frontend engineering skills in React, TypeScript, or equivalent
- • Experience building interaction-heavy or experimental interfaces
- • Strong product and UX instincts — ability to identify unclear or broken user experiences
- • Ability to prototype rapidly in ambiguous environments with incomplete specs
- • Understanding of animation, responsiveness, frontend architecture, and UI performance
- • Interest in HCI interfaces and designing for trust, control, transparency, and recovery
