Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end UX strategy and design quality for a high-growth D2C product used by hundreds of thousands of global customers, directly influencing activation, retention, and conversion metrics.
- • Transform UX from a support function into a measurable growth lever by aligning design decisions with business outcomes such as LTV, retention curves, and funnel conversion rates.
- • Audit and continuously improve the entire user journey—from acquisition through onboarding, paywalls, retention loops, and long-term engagement—with data-driven insights.
- • Independently analyze product analytics using Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude, or similar tools to identify drop-off patterns, cohort behaviors, and engagement trends without relying on data team reports.
- • Define hypotheses, design A/B tests using GrowthBook or equivalent platforms, and analyze results to validate UX changes with statistical rigor.
- • Utilize session recordings (Clarity, FullStory, Hotjar), heatmaps, and behavioral data to pinpoint friction points in user flows and prioritize high-impact improvements.
- • Proactively request, define, and spec new analytics instrumentation and reporting needs in partnership with the data team to close data gaps.
- • Lead, direct, and elevate a team of designers and frontend engineers involved in UI/UX work, setting clear standards for the definition of done and quality expectations.
- • Define, enforce, and evolve a scalable design system that is implemented directly in the frontend, not created first in Figma.
- • Establish a structured UX research practice—including user interviews, surveys, and usability tests—to generate both qualitative and quantitative insights.
- • Translate raw research findings into prioritized, actionable product decisions that align with business goals and engineering constraints.
- • Direct and mentor the existing UX researcher on the team, providing frameworks, clear priorities, and structured feedback to raise team performance.
- • Maintain a high visual and interaction quality bar across all product surfaces, ensuring consistency and polish in every user-facing element.
- • Work in a fast-paced environment with daily or near-daily releases, where systems thinking and scalable patterns are prioritized over one-off screen designs.
- • Communicate the rationale behind every design decision using data, research, and business impact, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, and growth teams.
- • Operate with full ownership of outcomes—not just output—driving initiatives to completion without requiring oversight or handholding.
- • Contribute to building the foundational UX and research infrastructure for multiple future products within the company’s portfolio.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong, hands-on ability to independently analyze product data using Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude, or similar tools
- • Demonstrated experience driving measurable improvements in retention, activation, or LTV through UX-led initiatives
- • Experience leading or managing designers and setting design quality standards in a frontend-implemented environment (not Figma-first)
- • Proven track record of designing and running end-to-end A/B tests (e.g., GrowthBook, Optimizely) to validate UX changes
- • 5–8+ years in UX, Product Design, or design leadership within D2C, SaaS, or consumer digital products
- • Deep understanding of conversion funnels, retention loops, and user behavior at scale
🏖️ Benefits
- • Remote Work Environment: Work from anywhere with flexibility in schedule and location
- • Unlimited PTO: Unrestricted paid time off to recharge and prioritize well-being
- • Paid National Holidays: Guaranteed paid days off for national holidays
- • Company-provided MacBook: Top-tier Apple MacBook supplied to all employees who need one
