- • Datavant is at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare through its advanced data collaboration platform. Our core mission is to make the world’s health data secure, accessible, and actionable, thereby driving significant improvements in patient care and medical research. We serve a diverse clientele, including healthcare providers, health plans, researchers, and life sciences companies, providing them with critical data solutions that span from individual patient record requests to powering cutting-edge AI in healthcare. By joining Datavant, you become part of a dynamic, driven, and highly collaborative team dedicated to creating transformative change in the healthcare industry.
- • As a Vendor Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of vendor operations. Your primary responsibility will be the centralized review of incoming files, with a keen focus on identifying and rectifying errors early in the process. This proactive approach is crucial for preventing inaccurate chart requests, minimizing operational waste, and optimizing downstream retrieval performance. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional eye for detail, a strong comfort level working with data, and a methodical approach to identifying issues and proposing effective solutions.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve meticulously reviewing Health Information Exchange (HIH) files to confirm their completeness and accuracy. You will be tasked with identifying any errors that could potentially lead to incorrect chart requests and promptly flagging these issues for correction. This role demands a proactive stance in tracking recurring error types, analyzing their root causes, and sharing these findings with department leadership to drive continuous process improvement.
- • Maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of review outcomes, identified error trends, and necessary adjustments will be a key aspect of your role. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a thorough understanding of file requirements and will be instrumental in updating review criteria as business needs evolve. Furthermore, you will actively participate in root cause analysis when large-scale or recurring file issues arise, contributing to robust problem-solving efforts.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve monitoring vendor performance specifically related to file quality. You will be responsible for escalating concerns when performance thresholds are not met, ensuring accountability and adherence to quality standards. You will also support training initiatives by providing concrete examples of common errors and recommended corrective actions, thereby enhancing the skills and knowledge of the team.
- • You will contribute to essential reporting efforts, providing insights into accuracy rates, trend analysis, and the overall impact of quality assurance reviews on downstream retrieval performance. Additionally, you will support the review of internal client-related support requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses are provided through Datavant’s support ticketing system, all while adhering to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- • A critical function will be ensuring that submitted tickets for inventory disposition changes are accurate and correctly reflect the work performed. This includes reviewing the quality of documentation and notes included with disposition tickets, verifying that they are precise and accurately represent the completed tasks. Your diligence in these areas will directly contribute to the operational efficiency and data integrity of Datavant's platform.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, innovative environment where your attention to detail and analytical skills will directly impact the quality and reliability of healthcare data. You will be an integral part of a team committed to improving healthcare outcomes through advanced data solutions, making a tangible difference in the lives of patients and the advancement of medical science.
