  • • Join Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) as a Part-Time Radiologist in Shrewsbury, MA, and become an integral part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing exceptional emergency veterinary care. Since its inception in 2014, VEG has been committed to revolutionizing the emergency veterinary experience, not just for pets and their owners, but also for the dedicated professionals who make it all possible. We are a rapidly expanding network of 24/7 hospitals nationwide, recognized as a Great Place to Work® for 2025 and 2026, reflecting our commitment to fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment.
  • • As a Radiologist at VEG, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging interpretations that directly impact patient care. You will be empowered to leverage the latest equipment and technology to interpret radiographs and provide comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound support. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding our frontline ER doctors through complex cases, offering timely and impactful written and verbal consultations. This is an opportunity to apply your specialized skills in a dynamic, fast-paced emergency setting, where every case presents a unique challenge and a chance to make a significant difference.
  • • We foster a "quality over quantity" approach, ensuring that each interpretation is thorough and contributes meaningfully to the diagnostic process. You will be instrumental in promoting excellent diagnostic medical quality and upholding ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles in radiation safety, always with a constructive and educational focus. Your collaborative spirit will be key as you engage with our ER teams via phone, video, or chat, discussing critical cases and providing expert insights.
  • • Beyond direct patient care consultations, you will be part of a vibrant learning community. We encourage the sharing of complex, educational, and interesting cases within our internal radiologist chat group, promoting continuous learning and professional development among our specialists. Furthermore, VEG offers unique opportunities to contribute to the education of future veterinary professionals. You will have the option to teach remote radiology rounds and conduct in-person ultrasound labs at our esteemed medical training facilities located in Fort Collins, CO, Las Vegas, NV, and White Plains, NY. This teaching component allows you to share your knowledge, mentor emerging talent, and further solidify your own expertise.
  • • At VEG, we believe in empowering our VEGgies (employees) with unparalleled opportunities for learning and mentorship. We support your career growth through various avenues, including VEG-created clinical and leadership programs. We also provide substantial support for continuing education, offering unlimited ER CE and a travel stipend to facilitate your attendance at relevant conferences and training events. For full-time credentialed VEGgies, this includes a $2,500 annual travel stipend.
  • • Your role as a Radiologist extends beyond interpretation; it involves being a collaborative partner to our hospital teams. You will help educate and inform all stakeholders on the nuances of radiology, ensuring a shared understanding of diagnostic findings and their implications for patient treatment. This interactive support is vital in maintaining the high standards of care that VEG is known for. We are looking for individuals who are not only technically proficient but also possess a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a people-centric approach, aligning with VEG's core values of empathy, humility, and a commitment to impactful results.
  • • This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to integrate your specialized skills into a leading emergency veterinary network while maintaining flexibility. You will be contributing to a culture that celebrates diversity, fosters innovation, and is dedicated to providing the best possible care for pets and their owners during their most critical moments. Join us in transforming veterinary emergency medicine and building a career that is both professionally fulfilling and personally rewarding.
