  • • Lead the end-to-end financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function for Catalant Technologies, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
  • • Partner closely with executive leadership, department heads, and operational teams to translate business goals into financial plans and performance metrics that drive accountability and growth.
  • • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting with full compliance to GAAP and internal controls.
  • • Develop and maintain dynamic financial models that incorporate key business drivers such as client acquisition costs, consultant utilization rates, revenue per engagement, and platform growth metrics.
  • • Analyze variances between actual performance and forecasts, providing clear, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • • Design and implement scalable financial systems and processes to support Catalant’s rapid growth, including automation of reporting workflows and integration of financial data across platforms.
  • • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to build cost models, track profitability by client segment and service line, and optimize resource allocation.
  • • Prepare board-level presentations and investor materials that clearly communicate financial performance, key risks, and strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • • Oversee the annual budgeting cycle, aligning departmental spending with company-wide priorities and ensuring alignment with venture capital expectations and funding milestones.
  • • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity position to ensure financial stability and support strategic investments in technology, talent, and market expansion.
  • • Lead a team of financial analysts and coordinators, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development guidance to build a high-performing FP&A function.
  • • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and CFO on financial strategy, pricing models, unit economics, and the financial implications of new business initiatives or market opportunities.
  • • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal audit standards, maintaining documentation and controls that meet the expectations of venture investors and external auditors.
  • • Work cross-functionally with HR and talent acquisition to model workforce costs, headcount planning, and compensation banding aligned with business growth targets.
  • • Evaluate the financial impact of new product offerings, geographic expansions, and partnership opportunities to inform go/no-go decisions and resource prioritization.
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of Catalant’s business model as a digital consulting platform, including the dynamics of independent consultant supply, client demand cycles, and platform take rates.
  • • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting accuracy, speed, and usability, ensuring that financial insights are accessible and actionable for non-finance stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial planning roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • • Proven track record managing FP&A for high-growth technology or platform-based businesses
  • • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • • Strong proficiency with ERP and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
  • • Experience working with venture-backed companies and preparing materials for investors or board presentations
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA preferred
