- • Vice President, Legal role reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, serving as a key strategic advisor to the leadership team in a high-growth consumer AI company.
- • Build and lead the legal function from the ground up, partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and finance teams while managing outside counsel and establishing scalable legal infrastructure.
- • Operate at the intersection of consumer technology, social platforms, and generative AI, supporting a well-capitalized, high-growth company backed by top-tier investors like Andreessen Horowitz.
- • Work in a hybrid model in San Francisco Bay Area with three days a week in office (flexible days and times), contributing to a distributed, global team with strong early traction and rapid scale following significant financing.
- • Drive legal strategy for a company creating a new category of digital experience, enabling users to create, interact with, and share dynamic, AI-driven content in unprecedented ways.
🎯 Requirements
- • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a state bar.
- • 10+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house counsel experience at a technology or high-growth company.
- • Proven experience building and scaling a legal function from scratch in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- • Deep expertise in technology law, including intellectual property, data privacy, AI regulation, and commercial contracting.
- • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with ability to partner effectively with product, engineering, operations, and finance teams.
