• Are you a passionate and creative Video Content Creator with a flair for storytelling and a deep love for dogs? If so, Butternut Box Limited is looking for you to join our growing team in Amsterdam as our in-house Video Content Creator for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
• At Butternut Box, we’re revolutionizing the dog food industry by providing freshly prepared, healthy, and delicious meals for our canine companions. We operate as a certified B Corp, demonstrating our commitment to our people, pets, and the planet. Our Amsterdam office, located conveniently at the Weteringschans, is a vibrant hub where you'll join a close-knit Benelux team of approximately 25 individuals, accompanied by a healthy number of office dogs – yes, they’re welcome, and you’ll get plenty of opportunities for dog cuddles!
• This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly created role where you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our video content strategy across multiple European markets. You will be the driving force behind creating engaging video content that not only supports brand growth but also resonates deeply with local audiences while staying true to the core Butternut Box brand identity. This role offers a fantastic blend of creativity, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys owning the entire content lifecycle, from initial concept development through to the final polished edit.
• Your primary responsibilities will involve producing and localizing high-performing video creatives specifically tailored for paid social channels, including Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, across the Dutch, Belgian, and German markets. You will be tasked with conceptualizing and testing innovative, scroll-stopping video ideas, drawing inspiration from creative briefs, performance data, and the ever-evolving landscape of social media trends. This will involve filming a variety of subjects, including dogs, their devoted parents, our premium products, and memorable brand moments, both on location and potentially in a studio setting.
• Beyond filming, you will be responsible for editing both short-form and long-form video content, ensuring it is optimized for various growth channels and impactful brand campaigns. Collaboration will be key; you’ll work closely with our Brand, Growth, and Social Media teams to effectively translate creative briefs and marketing insights into powerful visual stories. A critical aspect of this role is content optimization, ensuring that videos are perfectly adapted for different markets, target audiences, and languages, maintaining relevance and impact.
• You will manage the entire video production pipeline end-to-end, from meticulous planning and concept development to the actual filming process and final delivery. Maintaining brand consistency is paramount, so you will ensure all created content strictly adheres to our established brand guidelines, upholding the visual identity and tone of Butternut Box across all platforms and markets.
• This is a hybrid role, based in our Amsterdam office. You will be expected to work from the office three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday), with the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. 🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proven experience in filming and editing video content, with a strong preference for social media advertising.
• Proficiency with video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Solid understanding of visual storytelling principles: composition, framing, and lighting.
• Deep awareness of social media platform dynamics and current trends.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Comfort working with diverse markets and stakeholders.
• A genuine love for dogs.
• Full-time availability and ability to work from the Amsterdam office three days per week.
• Nice to have:
• Dutch, German, and/or French language skills.
• Experience with motion design or animation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools.
