- • Own the full production cycle—from concept storyboard to final export—shooting on location in dm stores, studios, or anywhere inspiration strikes; you’ll direct real customers, dm employees, and occasionally furry friends to capture authentic scenes that feel native to each channel.
- • Edit with surgical precision: cut 15-second reels that hook in the first 1.5 seconds, 6-second bumpers that loop seamlessly, and 3-minute tutorials that keep viewers watching to the last frame; master pacing, captions, sound design, and platform-specific specs without breaking a sweat.
- • Translate campaign briefs into visual narratives that balance dm’s warm, family-friendly tone with the bold energy Gen Z scrollers expect; weave in product benefits, sustainability messages, and seasonal hooks while staying relentlessly entertaining.
- • Collaborate daily with a cross-functional squad of strategists, copywriters, motion designers, and performance marketers in our Studio Next dm team; join agile sprints, present rough cuts for rapid feedback, and iterate overnight when the data tells us to pivot.
- • Build and maintain a living content library—tagged, color-corrected, and rights-cleared—so colleagues in Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe can remix your footage for local activations without missing a beat.
- • Stay two steps ahead of platform updates: test new AR effects, vertical 9:16 formats, and interactive stickers before they hit the mainstream, then share cheat-sheets that level up the entire creative department.
- • Champion inclusivity on screen and behind the camera; ensure casting, styling, and storytelling reflect the diversity of dm’s 40-million-plus customers.
- • Monitor real-time analytics dashboards to learn which cuts, captions, and CTAs drive the highest watch-through and conversion; turn those insights into the next day’s storyboard.
- • Travel light but shoot big: pack a lean kit (mirrorless body, gimbal, wireless lav, LED panel) and still deliver cinematic results, whether you’re in a bustling Berlin store at 7 a.m. or a sun-drenched Austrian meadow at golden hour.
- • Protect dm’s brand integrity by following legal and data-privacy guidelines, securing talent releases, and triple-checking that every product claim is substantiated.
- • Celebrate wins loudly: when a reel you cut hits a million organic views or a TikTok challenge you launched trends across DACH, share the love in our #wins Slack channel and inspire the next big idea.
