Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Videographer at Flock Safety, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to eliminate crime and build thriving communities by producing high-impact video content that tells the story of Flock’s technology, partnerships, and real-world impact. Your work will directly support brand awareness, customer engagement, and internal communications by transforming complex safety solutions into compelling visual narratives that resonate with diverse audiences including law enforcement, municipal leaders, businesses, and residents.
- • You will be responsible for end-to-end video production, including location scouting, equipment setup, conducting interviews, capturing b-roll, and managing on-site logistics across varied environments — from urban neighborhoods to corporate offices and law enforcement facilities. In post-production, you will edit footage using Adobe Premiere Pro to deliver polished videos in multiple formats (16:9, 9:16, etc.) tailored for platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, website, trade shows, and internal training, while also repurposing existing assets to maximize content efficiency and reach.
- • You will collaborate closely with the Brand & Content team, marketing, product, and customer success teams to align video initiatives with campaign goals, ensuring all content reflects Flock’s brand voice, visual identity, and mission-driven messaging. This includes supporting script development, coordinating with subject-matter experts, and providing creative direction to freelance operators when needed to maintain quality and consistency across productions.
- • You will maintain and manage Flock’s video equipment inventory, ensuring cameras, lighting, audio gear, and accessories are properly stored, charged, and ready for immediate deployment. This includes performing routine checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and recommending upgrades or replacements to support scalable, reliable production workflows.
- • Over your first 90 days, you will establish ownership of the video production process by cataloging new equipment, refining internal workflows, leading day-to-day video projects, and publishing a total of six videos — while working toward obtaining your FAA Remote Pilot Certificate to expand capabilities into aerial videography for campus, infrastructure, and community-wide storytelling.
- • You will grow your expertise in mission-driven storytelling within a high-growth tech environment, learning how to translate technical safety innovations into emotionally resonant human stories, while gaining experience in fast-paced, startup-style execution where agility, ownership, and creative experimentation are valued and rewarded.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of professional videographer experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in end-to-end video production, including filming, interviewing, and editing.
- • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, including advanced editing, color correction, audio mixing, graphics integration, and export optimization for multiple platforms and aspect ratios.
- • Proven ability to manage video production logistics independently, including equipment setup/breakdown, location scouting, lighting and audio configuration, and physical handling of gear (up to 50+ lbs) in diverse indoor and outdoor environments.
- • Experience creating and maintaining a "studio-in-a-box" workflow for consistent, high-quality shoots in both owned facilities and on-site locations.
- • Strong visual storytelling skills with a keen understanding of composition, typography, color theory, and design principles as they apply to brand-aligned video content.
- • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with a sense of urgency, adaptability, and willingness to take creative risks to support business objectives.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully-paid health benefits covering medical, dental, and vision, plus an HSA match to support your healthcare and wellness needs.
- • 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for all employees, with an additional 6–8 weeks of physical recovery time for birthing parents.
- • Fertility and family benefits through Maven, including a $50,000 lifetime maximum for eligible adoption, surrogacy, or fertility-related expenses.
- • Spring Health membership providing access to therapy, coaching, medication management, and digital mental health tools tailored to individual needs.
- • Monthly WFH stipend of $150 and annual productivity stipend of $250 for tools like Audible, Calm, Masterclass, Duolingo, and Grammarly.
- • One-time $750 home office stipend to help you build an ergonomic and inspiring workspace.
