• As a Virtual Medical Assistant (MST), you will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide convenient, high-quality cardiac care to patients across the country, leveraging cutting-edge telemedicine, advanced diagnostics, and innovative virtual care programs.
• This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, remote-first environment, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST, directly impacting patient outcomes and the efficiency of our virtual clinic.
• You will be an integral part of our dedicated medical group, collaborating closely with a team of experienced cardiologists, advanced practitioners, nurses, and care coordinators, all committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive administrative and clinical support to our virtual care team, ensuring seamless patient journeys and optimal operational flow.
• This includes managing patient scheduling, coordinating appointments, and ensuring all necessary pre-appointment information and documentation are collected and organized.
• You will be the first point of contact for many patients, offering a welcoming and professional demeanor while addressing their inquiries and concerns with empathy and efficiency.
• A key aspect of your role will involve patient intake, including gathering medical histories, updating electronic health records (EHRs), and ensuring all patient information is accurate, complete, and securely maintained.
• You will assist in preparing patients for virtual consultations by guiding them through any necessary technology setup or preliminary assessments.
• Following virtual appointments, you will be responsible for documenting physician notes, transcribing orders, and processing referrals and prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner.
• You will also play a crucial role in patient follow-up, coordinating post-visit care, scheduling subsequent appointments, and ensuring patients understand their treatment plans and medication regimens.
• Proactively monitor patient communication channels, responding to messages and requests through our secure patient portal and other designated platforms.
• You will be instrumental in managing and organizing patient data within our EHR system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with all privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Collaborate with the clinical team to identify patients who may benefit from specific virtual care programs or interventions, facilitating their enrollment and engagement.
• Assist in the coordination of diagnostic tests and procedures, including providing patients with instructions, scheduling appointments, and tracking results.
• You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive patient information.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our virtual care processes by providing feedback and suggesting enhancements to workflows and patient engagement strategies.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other healthcare software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and guide patients through virtual platforms.
